Today, members of Patriotic Alternative South West met at Plymouth to lay a wreath at the Cenotaph by the sea front.

We gathered and reflected on the sacrifices and suffering that our people went through during the two World Wars.

We sombrely held a minute’s silence after listening to a speech, reflected on the brave servicemen who died for their country, and the innocents who died from the madness of the wars.

No more brother wars.

This afternoon, our top Somerset activist was out once again embracing the struggle and cleaning Minehead beach and the surrounding area of litter.

Minehead is a tourist attraction, but despite it not being the season for beach goers, there’s still sadly plenty of litter to be found and cleaned.

Although the weather was initially fine, the heavens opened and the day had to be cut short, but not before three full bags of litter were filled and left nearby the bins to be cleared away later.

Patriotic Alternative South West are becoming the movement’s most dedicated environmental warriors- many towns have now received help from us cleaning themselves up.

Today, one of Somerset activists was out in North Petherton, a town just outside of Bridgwater, to spread awareness about the Holiday Inn Express that has recently started a 12-month contract to house migrants.

Working on a tip-off from a local citizen who had heard about the migrants coming into the hotel, Patriotic Alternative South West put a leaflet together and started organise a leafletting campaign to alert as many of the locals as possible to what their council and government have tried to hide from them.

200 leaflets were delivered before the weather fully turned for the worse and the activism had to be cut short.

Today, Patriotic Alternative South West gathered for a hike through the hills and forests of Exmoor.

Starting in the picturesque Medieval village of Dunster and heading into Exmoor itself, PA slogged through- despite the weeks’ worth of rain that had made the ground sodden and the constant light rain, but that did not stop us.

We visited the ruins of an Iron Age fort that overlooked the Bristol Channel, worked our way across many streams and pathways that snaked up the hills and finally got to see the tallest tree in England, standing at an impressive 200ft. All told, we accomplished an 8 mile circular hike without issue.

Finally, as with all good traditions, we ended up at the pub for a quick pint and talked our future plans for ourselves and the movement.

Today, activists got together in Bridgwater to leaflet the houses and raise awareness of the Bridgwater Holiday Inn Express that is being used to house illegal migrants.

Working their way around the deprived areas of Bridgwater, our activists were able to smash out 1150 leaflets, putting the truth of the government’s betrayal into people’s homes as they go into a Winter of hardship.

Our lads found the headquarters of the West Somerset Conservative party, putting a leaflet through to let them know that Patriotic Alternative are aware of their treachery.

Finally, after hours in the cold, they finished the day with a hearty meal and a well-earned pint.
