Today is Saint George's day. He was popular in England before the Norman conquest but was not the patron Saint of England in the Anglo-Saxon era. King Edward III made St George the patron saint of England in 1350, after forming the Order of the Garter in St George’s name. Although St. George is a popular Saint in many nations, his tradition in England can be seen as a continuation of a much older one, that of the dragon slayer. The Germanic hero Sigurd, known as Sigeweard to the English and Siegfried to the Germans, is the archetypal dragon slayer in northern heroic myth. Happy Sigeweard's day ;)

Hey all. You might have heard about what happened on Wednesday. My husband Sam was arrested and we both had all our devices seized. They arrested him for three offences, took him in for questioning and immediately dropped two of the offences. They were hoping to get him to confess to something or find something spicy on our devices. There is nothing there. One of their main concerns was Sam allegedly putting up stickers warning about 2066. They don't want people talking about demographics. We are both ok, but we are struggling to contact people without our devices. I am very angry at the level of harassment we have both received. I am furious, actually. We will both attend a stream with our friend Mark Collett at some point over the next week and let you know exactly what happened and answer any questions. Look after yourselves x

Provisional records for April 2021 show the United Kingdom has experienced the most air frosts since records began in 1960, the UK Met Office reported Tuesday, April 27, 2021. This month has already seen an average of 13 days of air frosts for the country, with many farmers and growers reporting considerable damage due to the harsh conditions.
