Up to thirty councils in England have announced that they will not house any Afghan refugess.
Quite a contrast to the situation here in Scotland , where councils are desperate to jump on the band wagon to house Afghan refugees. Among the council saying they will take them are Fife, Edinburgh, Angus and Ayrshire. Perth and kinross had already announced they would take refugess in but now want to double the number. It seems that Scottish councils care more about housing foreigners tham their own people.
It is a scandalous situation given that Perth and kinross council have over 3000 people on their housing waiting list . Edinburgh is even worse with up to 12,000 people on a waiting list for a one bedroom flat and over three thousand on a wait list for a three bedroom . But yet they seem to be able to find the properties and funds to house large numbers of Foreigners. Once again the Scottish people are treated unfairly in their own country and betrayed by those who claim to be looking after their interests.

It looks like the #TRUESCOTS, people born and bred here, are going to lose out yet again to Sturgeon's #NEWSCOTS. Glasgow, which said not that long ago that it was not going to take any more refugees, has backtracked and is now looking at accepting large numbers of Afghans.
A terrible situation for those on the Glasgow housing waiting list, a list that stands at about 20,000 now. Many who have waited years without hope of a house, will probably find their hopes dashed further , as available social housing is allocated to these new incomers.But you can fly in from Kabul or Herat and be housed straight away it seems.
The housing list in Scotland stands at nearly 150,000. When will our politicians actually put our people first? It's not just the SNP that are betraying the Scottish people but parties of all sides are supporting bringing in more and more outsiders while doing nothing to address the housing crisis our people face.

On this day in 1834, Thomas Telford died. Telford was born in Glendinning, Westerkirk in Dumfrieshire.
He grew up in poverty, raised by his mother alone after his father's death. He left school at 14 to become an apprentice stonemason and through sheer determination caught up on his missed schooling and worked his way up to become a civil engineer.
He became probably Britain's most well known and fêted Civil engineer. Such was his reputation as a prolific designer of highways and related bridges, he was dubbed 'The Colossus of Roads' (a pun on the Colossus of Rhodes), and, reflecting his command of all types of civil engineering in the early 19th century, he was elected as the first President of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a post he held for 14 years until his death.
He was held in such high regard that upon his death he was buried in the nave of Westminster Abbey and a statue of him was erected in St Andrews Chapel adjoining the north transept.

It appears that in Scotland if you want to attend any concert, stadium event, large nightclub or a host of other large entertainment events, you are going to have to prove that you have been double vaccinated.
Some may say fair enough, but you have to wonder if this is a step along the road to having to prove you are vaccinated for work and other activities. Are we going to see in coming years a national ID system rolled out, that must be carried at all times and which carries a host of personal and health data?
Are we seeing the start of a program that could lead to a Chinese-style social credit system in Scotland in the future?

The battle resulted in a decisive victory for the English. It was the first major battle of the 1650 invasion of Scotland, which was triggered by Scotland's acceptance of Charles II as king of Britain after the beheading of his father, Charles I on 30 January 1649.
A year to the day, Cromwell fought the Scots forces again at the Battle of Worcester. Again the Scots were defeated and this led to the capitulation of Scotland to Cromwell.

With recent events in Afghanistan and the likelihood that we will see yet more numbers of undocumented illegal immigrants heading towards Europe. Already we have seen cases of people supposed to be on no-fly lists managing to board the so-called refugee flights out of Afghanistan. Given that last time we saw a surge in arrivals, many people with proven links to ISIS and other radical groups were able to enter Europe, we must with look again at tightening our border controls and refusing to house more incomers. Deporting anyone on a watch list or who has committed any form of crime and offering voluntary repatriation to others

Scotland's biggest city on a Tuesday night and two children under 10 are queuing to receive a meal in a soup kitchen. Is this the Scotland we want to live in?
The soup kitchen under Central Station bridge used to run on a Friday but due to demand now runs three days a week. Every night it serves on average over 130 people.
The parties in Holyrood claim to be creating a better Scotland but yet we see children starving on the streets of Scotland's biggest city. Meanwhile the Council of that city plan to bring in more 'refugees' and pay themselves large salaries to oversee a failing city.
The Scottish government seems more interested in pushing through trans rights and other 'progressive' legislation, rather than actually making sure that all Scottish families have an income and support that means they have lives not blighted by povery and hunger. The Scottish government has a £10 million fund to send aid to Africa and Pakistan but allows its own people to go hungry.

I can’t believe PA is two years old on Tuesday! It feels like we’ve been around for longer but it’s also gone so fast. I found out recently that our supporter list is already bigger than the BNP’s was at its peak. I’m so proud of the work we’ve done and how much we’ve moved the Overton window in Britain. Special thanks go to Mark, Kenny, our Regional Organisers and all our officers and activists who are so hard working and selfless in their endeavours. British nationalism is rising. Now is our time!
Edinburgh University hits new heights of ridiculousness in its campaign to "decolonise" its courses and the institution itself.
Alice and bob it seems are used in the computer world as a fictional couple to be place holders to describe how systems and functions work .But it appears they are too white ..so Mohammed and Alisha or ya ya and hadiza it is from now on it seems. Those white wrstern names might offend it appears in a majority white western nation.
The University ,which is one of the elite Russel group universities. Has also told its staff to ignore grammatical/ english mistakes in students work as it might discriminate against them..Though surely you would think part of the job of an elite western university would be too teach people to use grammar and language in a proper way..I cant imagine that employers will be so happy to ignore these errors from staff with a University degree.
The education system is slowly being ruined and becoming a laughing stock. It needs purged of this woke nonsense.

Many of his extant poems were printed from 1771 onwards in Walter Ruddiman's Weekly Magazine, and a collected works was first published early in 1773.
Despite a short life, his career was highly influential, especially through its impact on Robert Burns. He wrote both Scottish English and the Scots language, and it is his vivid and masterly writing in the latter for which he is principally acclaimed.

This is the second time within weeks that groups of leople have been refused service within hospitality venues in Edinburgh for no other reason than their political/social views are not seen to align with those of the bar staff.
Its ironic that the bar manager said that they believed in people being able to freely live their lives while banning a group of people from being able to live their lives due to the discrimination of the bar staff.
Years ago there was outrage our bars and other venues having signs saying no blacks, no irish, no dogs. But it seems in Edinburgh at least that signs saying no conservatives, no feminists, no nationalist (well, true nationalists, not fake SNP ones), no Christians etc are going to be all the rage.
The licensing board should take these venues to task over breaches of the Equality Act. But of course they won't.
