قال ﷺُ:
: «يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، لَلشِّرْكُ فِيكُمْ أَخْفَى مِنْ دَبِيبِ النَّمْلِ» ،

The Prophet ﷺُ said: O Aboo Bakr, verily, shirk amongst you is more hidden than the footsteps of an ant,

فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: وَهَلِ الشِّرْكُ إِلَّا مَنْ جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ؟

Aboo Bakr replied: 'is shirk anything else but setting up a rival with Allaah?'

فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَلشِّرْكُ أَخْفَى مِنْ دَبِيبِ النَّمْلِ،

The Prophet ﷺُ replied: 'by Him in whose hands is my soul verily, shirk is more hidden than the footsteps of an ant

أَلَا أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ إِذَا قُلْتَهُ ذَهَبَ عَنْكَ قَلِيلُهُ وَكَثِيرُهُ؟»

Shouldn't I guide to something if you say it, all of that will be gone from you

قَالَ: " قُل:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا أَعْلَمُ "

He said: "say:
'O Allaah I seek refuge in you from committing Shirk with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I did unknowingly."

أخرجه البخاري في الأدب المفرد
وصححه الألباني
It was reported by Al-Bukhaaree in Al-Adab Al-Mufrad
And authenticated by Al-Albaanee

A brief biography of Sheik Al Muhaddith Al usooli Muhammad bin Ali Aadam al Ettuoibi may Allaah have mercy on him

His name

He is Muhammad bin Ali bin Aadam bin Musa Al Ettuoibi

His birth He was born in Ethiopia the year 1366 after Hijrah approximately

His upbringing

He was brought up in the house of the great scholar Ali bin Aadam bin Musa Al Ettuoibi may Allah have mercy on them his father thought him reading, Arabic grammar, Morphology, the hanifi fiqh, Hadith and much more...so it is evident that he was brought up in a household of knowledge

His teachers

1⃣ His father ...He studied under his father the books of Aqeedah that was prevalent in his country, the hanafi fiqh, usool AlFiqh, Arabic expression, sahih Al bukahri and the knowledge of the different types of recitation of the Qur'an and much more
2⃣ Sheik Muhammad Qyyu bin wodee may Allah have mercy on him he learnt the Qur'an from him

3⃣ Sheik Muhammad saeed bin Ali Adrree He learnt from him Hadith Arabic grammar, Arabic morphology, logic, Arabic expression, usool AlFiqh he studied under him alot of books in the above mentioned subjects

4⃣ Sheik Muhammad Zain bin Muhammad Yaseen Al Ettuoibi He studied under him most of the explanation of Sahih Muslim by Imaam An Nawawe ,He also heard from him a lot of Sahih Bukahri..and also studied with him the interpretation of the Qur'an and more....

5⃣ Sheik Al Muhaddith Muhammad bin raafie bin basaure He read to him sunan At Thirmithi , and heard from him Sunan ibn majah Sunan Abi Dawoud, An nasaaie and more

6⃣ Sheik Ahamad Adeen Ashafeiee He read to him some of the books of Shafeiee fiqh ..

7⃣ Sheik Ismeel bin Uthmaan Al Yamani He studied under him a lot or AlMuwatta Sahih Bukahri and other books

Holding on to the Sunnah

From amongst the situations which highlights his strong adherence to the Sunnah is that I noticed every time I saw him drinking he would say Bismillaah take it with right hand and drink three mouthfuls , never did he not do that even if he is in the middle of a conversation or the middle of a class.
Also I remember one day some of his students and I were walking with him while he was being pushed in his wheelchair so one of his students had his foot wear and was about to put it on for him but behold the Sheik pushed the foot wear away ...we quickly informed him to put the right side on first then the Sheik wore it.

His death

He died on the 21st of Safar 1442 after Hijrah
=The 8th of October 2020..May Allah have mercy on him and grant him Jannah آمين
