The meetup addressed the importance of Blockchain technology and how it has evolved over the years. Persistence One CEO, Tushar Agarwal, talked about the characteristics of Blockchain as a foundational technology and Persistence One CTO, Deepanshu Tripathi, took a hands-on session on Full Node Setup on Cosmos Network ⚛️

The Genesis Block 2020 was a wonderful experience and great success for Persistence One!
Our CEO, Tushar Aggarwal, presented Persistence One to an audience of 400+ participants and was able to build a strong case for the real-world assets as collateral in the Crypto industry. Tushar was also part of a panel on Usability and Scalability of Blockchain along with Newfang, Matic Network and Marlin Protocol representatives.
The Persistence One team had an opportunity to interact with the representatives from leading projects of India and discuss the ideas to grow the Indian Blockchain Ecosystem.

To grow the awareness regarding the Blockchain/Crypto technology, Persistence one is partnering with top educational institutions of India. Our Strategy and Community Lead, Abhitej Singh, and Core Blockchain Dev, Abhinav Kumar, visited NMIT Bangalore to facilitate a tech seminar on the Basics of Blockchain and Building Dapps on the Cosmos Network.
We were thrilled to see an overwhelming response from the student community and interacted with 70+ students during the 4-hours seminar. We also had a productive discussion with the Head of Department, IT to incorporate cutting-edge Blockchain/Crypto curriculum for the students of NMIT Bangalore.

Persistence One proudly supported the Parallax Hackathon by TEC VIT at VIT University.
Vellore Institute of Technology is leading engineering college in India and churns out some of the finest developers and entrepreneurs. With 35,000 strong strength, VIT University has a very vibrant and innovation-driven culture. TEC VIT's Parallax is an ideal example of the same.
Our Strategy and Community Lead, Abhitej Singh, and Market Researcher, Mikhil Pandey, were invited as judges for the event. Abhitej also gave a keynote session on 'Advancements in Blockchain Industry'. The hackathon had 300+ participants and 75+ teams from around the nation.
The students built hacks for the industries including Healthcare, Fintech, Defense and Agriculture. We were amazed to see the teams adopt Blockchain technology to overcome the challenges faced in different industries.
We also opened a dialogue with VIT faculties and researchers to encourage R&D around Blockchain/Crypto.

Persistence aims to lead the innovation and research front to build robust solutions for enterprise use-cases.
There has been a strong focus on IBC research and testing at Persistence since inception and the team was able to successfully implement a proof-of-concept for a Non-Standard (not a general token transfer) Inter-Blockchain transaction in October 2018. This non-standard Inter-Blockchain transaction was conducted in the Comdex application and was a simulation for a cross-border trade settlement process.
The team is actively contributing to the IBC Protocol development and utilising the Inter-Chain Standards proposed by Cosmos Network to work on new enterprise use-cases.

Our team collaborated with Cosmos India to host first of its kind virtual meetup. Persistence CEO, Tushar Aggarwal, and CTO, Deepanshu Tripathi, participated as speakers.
Tushar introduced the community to the Cosmos ecosystem and showcased Persistence's approach to build blockchain solutions for enterprise uses cases. On the other hand, Deepanshu took a technical session highlighting the main functionalities of Cosmos SDK.
Tushar was also part of the panel with representatives from some of the world's leading Blockchain and Crypto startups. The topic of discuss for the panel was 'Future of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies in India and globally'.
Some of the other notable projects participating in the meetup were KIRA Core, IRIS Network, OKEx and Policy 4.0.
