July was a heavy period with developments for Persistence, especially when it came to pSTAKE developments.
From huge progress on upcoming implementations and integrations to exclusive features and key releases, it was a blockbuster month across the board ✅
Highlights:
♦️ pSTAKE moved closer to finalising its $BNB liquid staking implementation (stkBNB).
♦️ $XPRT coin-type is migrating from 750 to 118 via a community proposal.
♦️ pSTAKE was featured under the spotlight for an exclusive interview by BNB Chain.
♦️ A proposal put forth by Frens validator was passed to increase the Persistence Core-1 active validator set from 75 to 100.
♦️ Several blogs were released on BNB liquid staking benefits, ATOM Staking monthly report, XPRT coin-type migration, and a BNB Chain overview.

Proposal: Persistence Core-1 Chain v3 Upgrade ✅
A new on-chain proposal is now live where users can vote to implement the Persistence Core-1 Chain v3 upgrade, which will include:
♦️ Default coin type change from 750 to 118
♦️ Addition of WASM module
This marks yet another stepping stone in our journey to create Persistence as the liquid staking hub for the Cosmos ecosystem.

The chain is halted while the team and validators reconvene and decide next steps forward.
Hence no transactions will be processed in the meanwhile.
Rest assured, as always security of the chain is our top-most priority.
The team is working on finding the errors and should have a wholistic idea of what went wrong soon.
We are gathering all the information available and will circle back as soon as we have more concrete information on a restart time.

The Persistence Core-1 Chain is back online and has resumed block production from height #7791907. 🎉
The chain has been successfully upgraded to V3 as well. Users can now start with the transactions as usual.
At Persistence, chain security has always been our top-most priority and we’ll examine all the details carefully.
Hence, a detailed postmortem will be released soon in upcoming days stating what went wrong and how such situations can be avoided in future upgrades.
We have notified all the exchanges and Deposits & Withdrawals should be enabled soon.
As we continue to monitor the situation closely, would like to thank all our validators and community members who have supported us in this state of affairs. 🙏
