Adios... for now #Blog
Yeah, this post is released once I expected my weekly post to break. No one else decided to write any blogs for the channel, I lacked good ideas to attract readers, lacked the time to maintain communities, and many more. It's probably troublesome or irrelevant but this community meant a lot to me, which is why I tried all this stuff.
I really wanted to retain this place as a Pixel 1 community, and hope it could be active, but as Android 12 rolled in and Pixel 1 was only receiving Android 10 & 11 builds back in those days, more and more people just decided to quit as they might have already sold or the device itself bricked or cause issues. I am also one of the victims if you have been checking out my blog posts.
I tried posting regularly to keep it active, but this didn't help at all, which I kind of expected, but never try never know though. Nice to know thar someone posted a XDA thread which stated it's an Android 13 ROM for Pixel XL, it did boot and work for people out there, still the community is just kind of half dead.
There might not be many posts over here from now on, but I will try to write blogs that are relevant to Google Pixel in the future if I feel like doing so, or probably some updates regarding our communities. For the meantime, thanks for reading if you did. Give a follow to @PixelHubUpdates if you haven't, we are alive over there.

▪️Download [687MB]
▪️XDA
Changelog:
• Updated with the latest LineageOS changes including the August security update
• The infrequent random reboots appear to be fixed. This is unrelated to the reboots some experience when activating wifi. I've never had problems with wifi and have no idea what the issue is.
Known issues:
• SElinux is permissive
• Its likely you'll have to reboot after installation for VoLTE to work

Repartitioning your Pixel/Pixel XL
A dedicated post about the partition thing for Pixel & Pixel XL. Over here there will be the way on how to do it and down below you will find noscripts to expand your system partition and revert back the process.
Repartition
If you want to install Android 13 or later versions, you are required to go through this step in order to continue with the installation.
This will be irrelevant for most people but if you care what was being modified, here's the changes:
vendor: 300MiB → 428MiB (+0.125*2GiB)
system: 2GiB → 3.55GiB (+1.55*2GiB)
userspace: 24.83GiB → 21.48GiB // 114.21GiB → 110.86GiB (-3.35GiB)
There is also a revised version of the noscript for both, the difference is that I have added a little bit more contexts and checks. Meanwhile the original noscript for 32GB model has some minor flaws (8 KiB wasted), which inspired me to create a revised version. Anyway any of the noscripts will work, the option is up to you here.
1. Download: 32GB (Revised) | 128GB (Revised)
2. (Optional) Rename the file to
4.
5. LineageOS Recovery: Click "Continue" on the "Signature verification failed" screen.
6. If it's successful, you will see "Done!" printed on the screen.
*Reference (2)
Original partition
You did the repartition process but wanted to get it back to its original state. You are in luck.
1. The safest option, obviously, is to get the factory images from Google (Pixel, Pixel XL).
2. For those who doesn't want to download the full 1GB+ image and go through the long boring flashing process, step is the same as written above (32GB, 128GB).

Pixel 1 owners can finally enjoy Android 13
LineageOS Gerrit
For a very long time, the Pixel devices have been receiving support from the custom ROM communities, but as time passed by, things are getting tougher as Google stopped updating those old devices. The first generation Pixel device is one of the prime examples at this time, after being stuck on Android 11 development for nearly three years time, it seems like we finally have a new dessert to try out.
All this was possible by a community member rootfan, and also big appreciation to @npjohnson for bringing up the device tree. Now both of these devices will be receiving weekly builds fresh right off from LineageOS, Pixel XL (marlin) on Wednesday and Pixel (sailfish) on Saturday.
As Android 13 is now feasible for the first generation Pixel device, hopefully other maintainers could start to build other ROMs too with the existing device tree. One small step, one giant leap for the Pixel 1 community.
