The result
So we created a post last week, asking if you guys like your Pixel or not. Till now, we have around 59 people voted the poll. With most people voting 5 out of 5 stars (51%). And with 34% of you guys voting 4 stars. Lastly, the rest 15% of you voted ranging from 1 to 3 stars. I expect more people will be voting 4 stars, but a surprising result anyway.

What's Good
With Pixel amazing photography, it wins the 2020 mid-range smartphone in photo quality easily. Some example here and another example of cropped images. You get the unlimited backup original quality of photos & videos forever in Google Photos, which the hack doesn't work on any device anymore, unfortunately. OLED display with 1440p, it also quite a sharp display, not bad for viewing video but maybe the display is a little small to watch it? Anyway it a compact phone, easily usable with one hand.

Downside
The downside, this will depend. Bad battery life is one of the examples, but not everybody is having this issue. So are you still using stock Android 10? You should have changed if you can unlock your bootloader. So for those Verizon Pixel users who haven't unlocked bootloader, it a bad experience for them.

Conclusion
TL;DR: Most Pixel users said they like their Pixel a lot. Those Pixel exclusive features that are available are the main reason. Anyway, hope you enjoy your Pixel if you are still using it.

Hey there, it the first day of February and the weekly update post is back here. And this week post contained:
• ArrowOS Official 2nd Update!
• We asked, you told us: Most of you guys are from Asia & Europe!
• Pixel 2 Community Opened!

For those who don't know yet, ArrowOS is official for both Pixel & Pixel XL. It is stable enough to use as your daily driver. So, another update was pushed two days ago. If you are currently on it, you can get it via OTA update. For the others, you can get the download link over here.

So we created a poll last week, asking where are you guys from. So, among 80 of you guys, 39 of you guys said you are from Asia. 24 of you guys said you are from Europe. With the rest 14 from America and the last 3 of you from elsewhere (Africa probably). This poll existed because someone is wondering if there are more American users here, apparently it not. I had known that there is more modder are from Asia & EU countries. Fun fact, most people from India like to mod their devices, and in Europe, more people like Pixel devices, stock Android experience.

It wouldn't have happened, but an announcement here. I have the idea of creating it back in December 2020, but I found out that managing it by myself will consume too much time. Thanks to some dev who is willing to help. Of course, if you guys want to help, please tell me in the group. I had like to have more helpers.

TL;DR: Join @Pixel2Updates if you own a Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. It existed because no one created a general community till now, so I hope you guys find it useful. Just a channel gathering all Pixel 2 ROMs update in one place.

So this week, the channel hit 200+ members milestone. Thank you guys for your support. This week post contained:
• Google Photos Unlimited Backup, it works by default! (Update)
• exTHmUI ROM Update
• Poll: Finding out how many Chinese people out there

On Google Photos, you may have noticed on custom ROM, and it shows as other devices. You don’t need to care about that, as the perk is still there by default. It is a display bug. I wrote before that if you tried to put OG Pixel Google Photos XML on another phone, it shown as Pixel 1, looks like it working. Later, uploading photos & videos in original quality consume your account storage. So conclusion, it a display bug. Google may have another way of detecting it as a real Pixel, and it won’t use that way anymore. I hope you guys understand how Google Photos works by now. So Pixel 2 users, you may have noticed why it consumes your storage.

So exTHmUI had a new update this week too. I didn’t expect the maintainer to release it as he is busy with education now. Anyway, congratulations on his hard work, and I hope he passes his exam this year. If you don’t know yet, exTHmUI is based on LineageOS, with a few useful features and keeping it clean and straightforward to use. You can get the download link over here.

A few days later, it is Chinese New Year. I believe in this community; we have a few Chinese people here. I also want to thank the user who shared our post over there and leaving the Telegram link. Unfortunately, China users need a VPN to use Telegram, and the majority of us, don’t understand Chinese. It is hard to communicate with them, but I hope everyone can help each other. Anyway, a poll down there, and let see how many of you guys are Chinese.
