Some fun fact as we lack updates. After almost 5 years from the OG Pixel launch, many people are still buying and use one, especially for the unlimited Google Photos backup perk. As that change kicks in from 1 June 2021, every photo and video use up space no matter which quality you select, so we can expect more people to join around June if I am not mistaken.

So hello guys. 2 weeks no update and we are back with some great news. Content for this week’s post:
• ROMs Update: Fluid 1.4 Unofficial
• ROMs Update: PegasusOS
• ROMs Update: ArrowOS v11.0 Unofficial (Gapps)
• Photos from Google Pixel & Pixel XL
• Working GCam 8.2 founded

So Fluid 1.4 updated for our Pixel, comes with Android 11. Just upstream from ROM source, but still many goodies. We recommend you guys to try it, it is really excellent and “fluid”. Try out yourself and you will most likely like and stuck to it, not gonna lie. Developer is @blcbkbear99, and you can download it from here.

For people who want privacy, check over here. PegasusOS is now updated, made by @althafvly. This ROM is pure AOSP with some LineageOS system apps. It is an alternative ROM for GrapheneOS actually. And yes, you can lock the bootloader (Warning for Verizon Pixel owners, don’t lock) for more “security” for signed build. Download signed build & unsigned build here, respectively.

ArrowOS last minute update, lol. Currently, developer @blckbear99 building Gapps version of it to apply for official. The official tag is not too far away, so stay tuned for that. Some apps are still ship with the AOSP version as there isn’t enough space to build. Anyway, you can download the Google version of the apps from Play Store easily at any time. You can download the build from here.

For people interested in how the Pixel camera performs, we have some examples on the channel. You can use #Comparison to check out some of the examples we have posted. Recently, we have two posts about it, one comparing through Android version upgrade and one comparing GCam MOD. It is interesting to see how the Pixel camera improve over the past few years with software, till now it still outperforms recently released mid-range devices, really impressive for an old device released in 2016, 5 years ago. Also, unlimited original quality backup for Google Photos is an excellent perk for storing all your great photography too, only for OG Google Pixel.

When you are subscribed to this channel, you get stuff that is related to Pixel 1. If you aren’t here, would you know there had be a working GCam 8 for our Pixel? We have posted one earlier based on GCam 8.1, works quite well but has several bugs. Today, someone founded a better one and knows what, every feature working by default, seriously! It is DSGC Cam, based on GCam 8.2. I wanted to thanks @fixpoint1 for sharing it in our group chat, I even didn’t know this would work. Download it here and share it so that people interested in GCam 8 for their Pixel can install it.

Last week full of exciting stuff, and this week, we don’t have much stuff to say, lol. Anyway, content’s for this week:

Fortunately, this week there is at least one channel post being released. So this is the channel pinned message, photos sample from Camera PX v4.5. Thanks to @FelixKitty9669, he captures many photographs from his Pixel and uploads them into the album. It will be updated frequently every or after several days. If you have some time or get bored, give it a look.

Ugh… too boring this week somehow, and we even only have sailfish build of LineageOS updated this week only, lol. Talking about this, let discuss what ROMs you guys are using. There is a poll down there for you guys to vote. Let’s see which ROMs is used by the majority, gonna be interesting. We will check back the result after a week.
