LineageOS Contributors
LineageOS is a custom ROM project with thousands of contributors. There's one page where you can check out all the contributors of LineageOS, it is located over at Settings > About Phone > Contributors.

Core team members are featured in the middle part of the logo, while the rest are listed elsewhere. These people usually include several device maintainers, translators and committers, which have made changes to the project instead of just using it.

The contributors cloud is usually updated 2~3 times a year on supported LineageOS versions. As of March 20 (7:02 UTC), there are a total of 2,228 contributors with over 120k commits being merged. This number is actually pretty impressive for a custom ROM project.

From a normal user perspective, it's definitely something extraordinary, sure, but the ROM you are using today is built up by the community, and the contributors cloud is a way to thank all these people. Without them, the ROM wouldn't have stand up till today.

Additionally, when I saw some people who have managed to make it into the list, they feel proud of themselves. Yeah, it isn't an easy job to enter the contributors list, becoming a device maintainer simply won't make you appear over there for your information.

Anyway at last, congrats to those who have entered the list, you will always be remembered by the LineageOS community, the largest and notable Android custom ROM distribution project.

Trebuchet: Imperfection Launcher
A type of catapult that uses a long arm to throw a projectile.

LineageOS Trebuchet is capable of what most launchers could do. Basic features are pretty much all there. You could enable Google Discover feed if you had wanted. The launcher itself offers various types of grid sizes, from 2x2 to 5x5, with larger options 5x6, 5x7 and 6x6.

It also lets you use custom icon packs, hide apps from displaying in the app launcher and protect apps with lock screen authentication. Besides, you can choose to disable labels on your home screen or app drawer.

The whole launcher isn't bad to use, everything works well, but sadly, it lacks "dynamic icons" support. For example, the date is updated every day and if you have a Calendar app, you expect it to change it to the corresponding date.

If you had like to use it on other ROMs, the launcher does support QuickSwitch integration, so you get all the goodies just like one who has already flash LineageOS.

Forwarded from Lunarixus' Development (Nathan)
FOR DEVELOPERS: Pixel Linux 4.4 kernel source

There are many bugs due to catch you with this kernel source but I thought I'd make it public because the kernel does boot, it just needs someone to do some userspace work to get it to boot Android

Source is now public at: https://github.com/Lunarixus/msm-4.4-marlin

Recorder: Simple but get things done
An apparatus for recording sound.

On LineageOS 18.1 and later, the Recorder app has just been pretty barebone with voice recorder functionality, nothing else. Before that, it used to offer screen recording since AOSP doesn't have one.

Anyway, this voice recorder can do what you had expected, recording voice & sound around you. There's an option to record audio in higher quality, which will use more storage after enabling it. You can also check all your saved recordings in the app, but it will require other applications to play the audio file. On LineageOS 19 or later, the accent color follows the dynamic theming system.

Basically, that's all the Recorder app has to offer on recent versions of LineageOS. It might not have a lot of features compared to Google Recorder, but at least the app itself is pretty lightweight and fully open source, weighing less than 5MB on most devices.
