Hey guy, as promise, monthly updates is back. Aim to provide tips and let you guys discover more of your Pixel. Thanks for the massive growth, finally we pass 300 members in channel & 200 members in the group chat. This month let’s talk about some stuff that you are benefiting from “but maybe don’t know about it”:
1. Pixel Feature Drop
You may not believe it but in actual several Pixel Features will still reach your device via application updates. You don’t need to be on stock ROMs (you shouldn’t be using it anyway), it reached on custom ROMs. And also, we create such news for you to let you know which features will reach on your Pixel, and if you want to learn more what Pixel Feature Drop have to offer on the later Pixel, you can check the source down below of the post.
2. Google Photos
I believe majority of you already know about this, the 1 June Google Photos limitation is kicking in soon. Pixel 2 is unaffected as of the current stage, you guys are already having unlimited High quality backup, and in 1 June it is not changing for you. Nothing to worry about this, but did you know that it has some nice photos & video editor tools which are only exclusive to Pixel device? You had better appreciated as if you wanted to use on other device, you need Google One plan. Appreciated those tools, it is a nice addition.
I feel too short if I end the post here, lol. Let me continue with Google Photos FAQ:
1. How to get back unlimited high quality backup on (some) custom ROMs?
If you don’t know yet, we have provided the solution to solve this issue. If you want to do the traditional way, here the post (it is pinned in channel by the way). For the module, check here.
2. Wondering whether you can get unlimited original quality on Pixel 2?
Nope, Google fixed this way back in 2017 when people found the exploit, nothing we can do now to get that. (Also someone had tested recently, not working anyway)
3. What you get on your Pixel 2 in Google Photos while other devices don’t?
Exclusive photo & video editor tools options, unlimited backup, just this but you can corrupt Google’s server with it, lol.
May be not useful for some of you as you have already know , but I hope I do help a few people out there with this post. Any tips you want to share about your Pixel 2, please leave them in our group chat, next month maybe your tips can be featured on the channel, thanks for support!

Method to find out if your Pixel is from Verizon:
1. Visit Google's repair website https://store.google.com/us/repair
2. Open Chrome Dev Tools (Ctrl + Shift + I) and go to the Network tab
3. Check that you're recording all network activity
4. Enter the serial number and hit Enter
5. View the Response tab of the network log and if the phone name ends in "_vz", then it's Verizon (unfortunately).
Notes:
• Verizon Pixel can't unlock bootloader with free method as for now

• After copying text, Gboard will surface key snippets (phone numbers, email addresses, or URLs) with custom icons/pills in the suggestions strip.
