Hey there, an announcement for the community.

So I recently planned to open a channel that post about Google latest developments & news. There seem to be such a channel exist @googlepixels but you will see Russian mixing in it. Actually, I don't know if anyone in that community has suggest them to separate the language content or not, but it been going on for quite a while.

Also the group itself (the linked group of that channel I just mention), majority are using Russian to communicate instead of English. Then someone joined in our Pixel 1 community recently requesting for general international Pixel community. Well yeah, you will find general group out there but all people in that community are using other languages too :/

So yeah, a channel that post Google updates related stuff and a general English community for Pixel devices, all in English. This is like killing two birds with one stone I guess. No one has done this so that why I am planning to do it if you guys want. Vote down in the poll below if you had like it to happen.

By the way, a brief of stuff that the channel is posting:
Android, Apps, Easter Egg, Pixel...

How to get Digital Wellbeing features working on any ROMs:
Pre-requisite:
• Rooted with Magisk
• Running Android 9 & later

Steps:
1. Download latest APK available from APKMirror & rename it to a easier name (eg. wellbeing.apk)
2. Go to Magisk App > Modules Repo and search for "App Systemizer", install the module and reboot (if you have the module installed earlier, skip this step)
3. After reboot, get a terminal app if you haven't already (eg. Termux), open it and type su, then grant root permission to it
4. Next, type systemize and you will see a list of options, then type 3 (Systemize given APK)
5. You will be now proceed to type the directory of where you save your APK (it should be /sdcard/download/wellbeing.apk)
6. Then type 2 (/system/priv-app), and reboot the device
7. Go to Settings and scroll down, you will find Digital Wellbeing and parental controls, that it

Notes:
• Should work on any ROMs (including heavy OEM skinned ROMs)
• You can use it as an user app without issue but you won't be able to use app timers, bedtime mode & focus mode these types of features
• You could also use other ways to systemize the app by putting the apk in /system/priv-app directory if you know, else just follow the guide written above
• Tested everything on my own, it a cool experiment so would like to share out to you guys

Hey there, it the 27th day of the month July and time for a monthly update post. It great that our channel has over 400 people following and 300 people joined the group. That quite a lot of people for a Pixel community, and more people will be joining in the future. Ok, so here some stuff you guys might find it useful:

1. LineageOS continuing with weekly post on channel
I created a poll 4 days ago and majority of you guys decided for a weekly post of LineageOS as usual. Sometimes you can't download yet because it still in building progress or in the queue for building and all these posts are scheduled post. Check the build status from this site to learn more about the status of the build, Pixel 2 (walleye) release every Tuesday & Pixel 2 XL (taimen) release every Thursday.

2. Pixel Feature Drop - June 2021 (Rollout done)
Small update to sum up the release of the Feature Drop. Google Recorder update arrived with no surprise for older Pixel, if you are running stock you probably won't get it but on custom ROMs it totally fine to use it, so enjoy.

3. Android 12 Beta 3.1 Pixel GSI Port
Hey yo, last minute update for this section actually. I guess most people are excited but scared or probably no time to flash, lol, but anyway. For Pixel 2 XL, check this post to install it. For Pixel 2, check this post to install it. Thanks to @Dollscythe for sharing repartition guide, and @nippongsi for creating the GSI of course.

4. Google Pixel Hub - Track Google latest development news easily
Lastly, thanks to the few people from our community, having more than 40 people following the channel right now. It might seems less but this is how our community initially grew up too. I opened it as I like sharing Google updates. Telegram's Instant View feature on mobile is also useful as you can read the article directly and no need extra loading, it cool. If you like to track Google updates easily, consider following @PixelHubUpdates :)
