/e/OS now supports the pixel 2 and 2xl with android 11 based ROMs!

New Year is around the corner, and also Merry Christmas guys. Till today, our channel now has 750 members and approximate 560 people are in the discussion group. Here's a summary of what's happening in the past month:

Android 12 ROMs List
Em... yeah, so the list has been discontinued as I mentioned earlier in last month post and I don't think we will be updating it anymore, it will just stay like that. Anyway, besides all those ROMs that are listed, here are two recent Android 12 ROMs releases that didn't make its way to the post: LineageOS 19.0 (by @npjohnson) & Evolution X 6.0. I am so amazed that the Pixel 2 community have created tons of Android 12 ROMs and some are already usable as daily driver.

/e/ OS for both Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL
I am not sure who is going to use this, but anyway /e/ OS is available for both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. When people are already entering Android 12 development, they are just starting to build Android 11 beta build, lol. I have no interested in making a proper post for that ROM and I have no idea on how to track their schedule, so I am just going to summarise it here like this. For those who are interested to try it, you can download it from here: walleye | taimen.

One Year Anniversary Post next month
Ugh... besides Android 12 ROMs, I don't think we have other stuff to announce in this post. Anyway next month post will be a special one as the channel will be one year old soon, so probably try to make the community "special" in the next few weeks so we can report cool stuff next month, lol. One not so good news is that'll probably be the last monthly post since I don't think we are going to have anything else to talk about, anyway see you guys next month.

Dear all,

I am writing to you with disappointing news...
As you all may know, I was working hard to bringing stable PixelExperience 12 to walleye and taimen.
However due to the strict regulations of including most Google apps, I focused on finding an easy way to repartition the device.
I have recreating a noscript covering both system_a and system_b to satisfy this limitation, however upon my own personal testing, this didn't go according to plan.
I underestimated the severity of the situation and in result, I have unfortunately forced my personal walleye into EDL mode, in which us, Pixel 2 users are unable to recover from, as we lack the Qualcomm resource for a firehose.
I am aware this is very sudden news, however I would like all of you to be careful with this risky business of repartitioning.
As so, I am going to depart as a Pixel 2 developer as things stand as I don't feel comfortable helping a community, without owning a functional personal device.
I am not forcing anyone upon handing over their own device in this case, but the situation remains as told above.
I'm sorry for being irresponsible and taking the situation into my own hands, so perhaps this is my farewell to the Pixel 2 Development Community.
I would like to thank all of you who supported me, and I am only hoping for the situation to take turns and hopefully I'll be able to get back in later on, if I manage to get hold of a device.

Regarding LineageOS 19 build by npjohnson
Well, for the past month, you might have seen another developer @npjohnson working on LineageOS 19 for both Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL. It's cool to see it, but unfortunately we had to stop posting it for awhile until this goes live on XDA.

The developer pointed out that all these builds are experimental and not intended for end users. sorry for that. He also said that once he confirmed the build is stable to use as daily driver, he will create a XDA thread. For those who are adventurous to try it out, you are going to track the update yourself from now on, and also the developer said he won't accept any bug reports, so be aware about that.

Over at the downloads page, you might see there is LineageOS 18.1 unofficial build, but yeah, just ignore it since both devices already have official build from @Eamo5. Here's where you can track the update:
• Pixel 2 (walleye)
• Pixel 2 XL (taimen)

TL;DR: Unless the developer @npjohnson himself posted his works over at XDA, else we won't be notifying you guys about the update over the channel. Meanwhile if @Eamo5 posted LineageOS 19 update, that will be posted on the channel since it consider stable to use.
