I am writing to you with disappointing news...
As you all may know, I was working hard to bringing stable PixelExperience 12 to walleye and taimen.
However due to the strict regulations of including most Google apps, I focused on finding an easy way to repartition the device.
I have recreating a noscript covering both system_a and system_b to satisfy this limitation, however upon my own personal testing, this didn't go according to plan.
I underestimated the severity of the situation and in result, I have unfortunately forced my personal walleye into EDL mode, in which us, Pixel 2 users are unable to recover from, as we lack the Qualcomm resource for a firehose.
I am aware this is very sudden news, however I would like all of you to be careful with this risky business of repartitioning.
As so, I am going to depart as a Pixel 2 developer as things stand as I don't feel comfortable helping a community, without owning a functional personal device.
I am not forcing anyone upon handing over their own device in this case, but the situation remains as told above.
I'm sorry for being irresponsible and taking the situation into my own hands, so perhaps this is my farewell to the Pixel 2 Development Community.
I would like to thank all of you who supported me, and I am only hoping for the situation to take turns and hopefully I'll be able to get back in later on, if I manage to get hold of a device.

Regarding LineageOS 19 build by npjohnson
Well, for the past month, you might have seen another developer @npjohnson working on LineageOS 19 for both Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL. It's cool to see it, but unfortunately we had to stop posting it for awhile until this goes live on XDA.

The developer pointed out that all these builds are experimental and not intended for end users. sorry for that. He also said that once he confirmed the build is stable to use as daily driver, he will create a XDA thread. For those who are adventurous to try it out, you are going to track the update yourself from now on, and also the developer said he won't accept any bug reports, so be aware about that.

Over at the downloads page, you might see there is LineageOS 18.1 unofficial build, but yeah, just ignore it since both devices already have official build from @Eamo5. Here's where you can track the update:
• Pixel 2 (walleye)
• Pixel 2 XL (taimen)

TL;DR: Unless the developer @npjohnson himself posted his works over at XDA, else we won't be notifying you guys about the update over the channel. Meanwhile if @Eamo5 posted LineageOS 19 update, that will be posted on the channel since it consider stable to use.

• We will be looking into this in the coming days and week, and should have more info to post later this month.

Update: I am back in full swing on Pixel 2/2 XL development, the status thus far is the repartitioning noscript is written and tested working on taimen, currently just waiting for walleye testers.

So far developers aren't going to see this noscript probably for a few days until I weed out a lot of issues on the ROM side and can spend the time writing some comprehensive documentation on how we're gonna implement dynamic partitions.

Note to anyone willing to test walleye: I will require you to know your way around an ADB shell and speak good English, that way if the noscript fails I can guide you into fixing your partition table before you reboot and have a dead device.
