Android 15 Beta 2.2 with additional bug fixes is out.

List of fixed issues:

• Fixed remaining issues where creating a private space on a device for the first time removed app icons from the Home screen (or • • Home screens if more than one Home screen had been added).
• Fixed an issue with the Wallet role that prevented NFC payments from functioning in some cases. (Issue #340933949)
• Fixed an issue where the app drawer didn't open when swiping up.
• Fixed an issue with NFC observe mode that prevented NFC payments from processing in some cases.
• Fixed an issue that sometimes caused videos that were recorded using 10-bit HDR to have a green tint.
• Fixed various other issues that were impacting system stability, interactivity, and connectivity.

🤖 Google has released the June Pixel Feature Drop based on the stable Android 14 QPR3.

The third quarterly release, Android 14 QPR3, has been in testing since February this year and includes a number of new features and fixes on the system side. Pixel Feature Drop brings new features on the app side and does not necessarily require a system update.

The denoscription of the new features and fixes comes in the following posts.

Android 14 QPR3 beta users can now unsubscribe from the beta programm and upgrade to the stable without data loss (read carefully update page).

📱 The Pixel 8a, 8 and 8 Pro can now be located when the device is turned off.

If you lose your device, you'll be able to locate your device even if it's turned off. This includes if the device has a completely dead battery. This is possible because the Pixel 8 series devices have backup power that can be directed to the Bluetooth chip even after the main battery is drained.

This requires:
1) Update to the June Android 14 QPR3 update;
2) Get the Find My Device Network feature. (The settings should look like this)
3) Enable location and Bluetooth services.

🤖 Android 15's Beta 3 has been released.

This build is the first in the platform's stability phase, which means that internal and external APIs and app behaviors have reached the final version. Google notes the following new features in Beta 3:

• Integrate Credential Manager with autofill
• Integrate single tap sign-up and sign-in with biometric prompts
• WebSQL deprecated in Android WebView

List of fixed issues:

• Issue where disabling polling using the setDiscoveryTechnology method didn't disable polling.
• Issue that prevented the system sharesheet from loading in some cases.
• Issue that caused the system Settings app to crash when accessing screen saver options.
• Issue that sometimes caused the screen unlock icon to be displayed when notifications were on screen.
• Issue that prevented mobile network security settings from being changed.
• Issue with the Android Emulator that caused Simpleperf to crash when running a CPU profile.

Bluetooth resolved issues
• Resolved an issue where Bluetooth LE scans could persist in the system after an app crash.
• Fixed a bug in Bluetooth LE legacy advertising, where AdvertisingSet.setScanResponseData did not return ADVERTISE_FAILED_DATA_TOO_LARGE when scan response data exceeded the 31-byte limit.
• Fixed a bug that caused LE connection failures on the GATT server by passing the address type from BluetoothGattServer.connect to native.
