Pixel 6 December update breaks some devices auto-rotate
Android Police
By this point, I suspect that the December update is adding bugs instead of resolving bugs. Users have been reporting poor connectivity issue and Google themselves disabled Call Screen and Hold for Me in the Phone app due to some issues. And now, even auto-rotate is broken.
Users on Reddit and Google's support forum reported that their phone's accelerometer and gyroscope isn't functioning anymore. They said auto-rotate and automatic horizontal images just isn't working properly for them, and they have no clue what's causing the issue. Android Police's staff also managed to reproduce the issue too.
Some happen to find out a temporary solution, by restarting the phone, all those features get to work once again, but it still randomly break after awhile. The phone seems to be having problems communicating with those few sensors. The issue might get a fix in the next update if Google can noticed it, hopefully.
*There are more issues that are yet to be discovered by the media, and also some of these issues only happened to a few, hope you guys who own the device don't face the issue.

Android 12L will be a marketing name, also releasing to partners as second Quarterly Platform Release
Mishaal Rahman
We know that Android 12L is going to be a version that is optimised for large screen devices, at the same time it will be bring in some improvements over to mobile devices. We expect Android 12L to be released to all Android devices soon as usual, but apparently it might not be the case.
Mishaal Rahman said that one of his source suggested that the Android 12L will be releasing to Android partners as a second Quarterly Platform Release. Also, he mentioned that Android 12L is just a public marketing name, as
If this is true, then Android 12 itself will be representing the API number 31 and 32, which will be the first time we will be seeing a same version number covering two APIs number. Anyway, take this info as a grain of salt for now.

Speaking of Android 12L, one source suggests it'll be released to Android partners as the second Quarterly Platform Release. In other words, Sv2 = QPR2. Android 12L is just the public marketing name, while ro.build.version.release_or_codename will remain…
