Here's how Android 12L looks like when running on a desktop
Jon West (Twitter)
Google promoted Android 12L initially to make it user friendly for large screen devices, which includes tablets and foldables commonly. Well, that doesn't mean you couldn't run it on a desktop though, and some people out there have managed to bring the experience to there already.
Jon West, creator of Bliss OS and Android-Generic Project, has managed to run Android 12L on desktop successfully. As expected, the layout are pretty much similar to what Google has shown, like the dual column layout are applied to the lock screen and quick settings panel for example.
Jon said it's pretty much usable at the current state, though some minor UI bugs are still there. Anyway, it's nice to see that overall, Android 12L makes it much easier to use on a large screen device. You can check out all the screenshots in Twitter if interested.

You can view video trannoscription in the YouTube mobile app soon
Android Police
Video trannoscription can be helpful when you want to search back for a specific part of a video. For a long time, YouTube has only make the feature available on the desktop web experience, but it's hitting the mobile app experience soon.
Once the feature is available for you, you will be able to see a new Trannoscript section with a "Show Trannoscript" button, tapping on it will display the video's trannoscription. One drawback though, you couldn't search for it directly which might be a little annoying especially if the video duration is long.
For now, the trannoscription feature is rolling out via server side to a few devices randomly.

Android 12L has a obvious status bar glitch for some Pixel phones
Android Police
Google has been pretty much messed up with Android release schedules if you don't know yet. It's nice to see that Android 12L resolved a lot of issues spotted in Android 12, but still some other bugs popup as they fixed those bugs, one of them is the status bar alignment.
If you owned a Pixel 5 or Pixel 6, you might faced status bar glitch. Seems like the developers from Google forgot to configure the status bar properly for some Pixel devices which lead to this UI issue. There are already a few users on Reddit (2) reporting the issue, saying it's happening in applications such as Snapchat, Spotify and more.
There doesn't seem to be any easy solution to fix it unless you revert back to an older version of build. Anyway, hopefully Google is acknowledge of the issue and fix it as soon as possible.

Google Contacts adds bottom bar with new Fix & Manage tab
Android Police
Google Contacts is the latest app by Google to have a bottom tab for easier navigation.
The first tab is the good ol' contacts list page, most stuff didn't change with the introduction of bottom tab, and you still get access to the hamburger with your labels. The latter tab is "Fix & Manage," which pretty much move all the tools from the hamburger menu to this page. Meanwhile you can find the app settings in the account picker menu.
This is currently rolling out via server side and not yet widely rollout.

Gboard has just reached 5 billion downloads milestone in Play Store
The keyboard application by Google, Gboard has just hit 5 billion installs milestone on the Play Store, just after Google Duo.
The record isn't really surprising, as most phone companies choose to preinstall the keyboard on their phones. Samsung is the exception here as they have their own keyboard application, hence it is why Gboard didn't manage to reach this milestone earlier like other Google applications.
Gboard has been gaining a lot of features recently, with one of them being the ability to create custom text stickers on Pixel devices (rolling out widely with March Feature Drop), more Emoji Kitchen mashup, correct your grammar mistake and many more to come.

Pixel Camera Services bring in Night Sight for Snapchat on Pixel 6
9To5Google | Play Store
With March Feature Drop, you could use Night Sight inside Snapchat on Pixel 6, and in order to achieve this, Google has revealed a new app called Pixel Camera Services on the Play Store.
Apparently the service is already preinstalled on Pixel 6 devices, and some users noticed Google issued an update for the application, which "enables Night Sight via Camera2 Extensions." After installing the update, you will see a crescent moon icon in Snapchat which let you enabled the Night Sight functionality.
It seems like Google could make more partnerships and make it available for more popular camera applications too. Google listed out that you need to be on March security update in order to get it installed, but seems like the only option for Pixel 6 owners to get the app is to be on Android 12QPR3 Beta 1.

Pixel Camera Services hinted more than 10 million Pixel6 devices are in use
UPDATE: The downloads count towards older Pixel devices too.
You knows what's interesting about the Pixel Camera Services, the downloads count. As Google mentioned it's only for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro running March security update (Android 12L), this makes the statistics far way interesting.
At the time of writing, Google didn't release stable build of Android 12L for Pixel 6 series as it is delayed, and if that's the case, that's mean more than 10 million Pixel 6 device owners are already on Android 12QPR3 Beta 1, or maybe that isn't the case, but I don't see anyone out there said they got it on their Pixel 6 running February update though.
If there's no surprise, Google could hide the downloads count very soon one day. They had did it for Security Hub as 9To5Google covered about it, but let's hope they don't this time.

Google Photos experimenting chips for quicker access to interact text from images
9To5Google
Google Photos already offer a lot of features which includes Lens integration, and recently Google is testing out more chip shortcuts when viewing a particular image.
Google Photos will show you options like “Copy text,” “Listen,” “Crop,” and “Markup” when you are viewing a screenshot. Google also show you "Copy text" option in images that contained clear text too.
There's also a Google Lens chip shortcut but given that it's already there in the bottom toolbar, it is pointless to have it there. Tapping on any of the chip option will directly bring you to the dedicated section. The feature is an A/B test so not everyone get to see the feature yet.

Pixel Camera Services download counts apparently include older Pixel devices too
Previous post
Ok, but we suddenly realised that this particular APK package (Pixel Camera Services) has exist back in Android 11 builds for older Pixel devices (APKMirror), so the download counts pointed towards 10 million+ modern Pixel devices (which we had already know for awhile) instead of only the Pixel 6 series.
Yeah, it's pretty much impossible for Google to sell more than 10 million Pixel 6 devices in just 6 months time and all of the owners suddenly opt for the beta program to get it. Although Sundar Pichai once said the Pixel 6 series saw great sales figure, but I don't think the number could reach this far either.
Google has only recently made the Pixel Camera Services app public on the Play Store listing to push an update for the Pixel 6 which will enable Night Sight in Snapchat (part of the March Feature Drop), so it caught people's attention.

It's Pi Day but with Pixels
Made by Google
Oops, late by a day, but still want to mention about it. You know π, the infinity countless number which starts with 3.14, and March 14 is basically the Pi day.
Google has been known for joining in fun and making Easter Egg, and they had celebrated Pi day for the past two years using Pixel devices. This year, they celebrated it too and it looks interesting.
Last year, they ended at 3.1415 with the Pixel 5 at the very end, and they extended it this year to 3.14159 with a upside down Pixel 6 at the end, creative idea.

Google Play Games beta invitations are being sent to users
Mishaal Rahman
After months of waiting, Google Play Games for PC invitations are now being sent out to those who have signed up earlier in Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan.
There's already people out there who have gotten access to the Google Play Games client and have demonstrate how it works. Only a few noscripts are available to play and you can check all of them in the "All games" tab. Meanwhile you can check the download progress for the games, change your account settings and also check your achievements too.
You can check out the gameplay footage here, there seems to be some audio issues, but the performance will depend on the specifications you have on your computer. It's nice that your favourite games you used to play on your Android devices, can be play on a Windows computer with a larger screen natively soon.

Google Workspace Updates
Well, most of us don't really reach the cell limit for a spreadsheet, but in case you are, Google has already double the limit so you can start inserting more information into your existing spreadsheet.
In 2019, Google has once expand the limit to 5 million in 2019, and now they are doubling it to 10 million which is nice to see. The feature is already made available to all Workspace customers by today, no wait needed.

'Play as you download' feature arriving to all Android 12 devices
All devices running Android 12 will soon be able to use 'Play as you download' feature.
This will allow users to download partial file resources of the game and start playing it without needing to download all the resource files which might take a long time depending on the Internet connection speed. While you are playing the game, Play Store will continue to download rest of the resources in the background. The feature is possible to achieve with the help of Android Incremental File System.
The feature is launching as beta, and will eventually start expanding and made available to all Android 12 devices. Game developers can sign up for the beta in order to make use of the feature.
