#PixelWatch Google Pixel Watch rumored to run on the same chip as 2018 Galaxy Watch + bonus Google rant 9To5Google Google has a bad habit of reusing old hardware in new devices, like the rear Sony IMX 363 sensor from the Pixel 2 being in the Pixel 6a. This…

Google Pixel watch rumored to have more RAM and a coprocessor with the Exynos 9110, possibly Tensor Wear?
9To5Google

A source has confirmed 9to5Google the use of Samsung’s Exynos 9110 on the Pixel Watch. It will be paired with a co-processor that presumably works to offload various tasks away from the main CPU.

9To5Google also claimed for the watch to have "more RAM than any existing smartwatch today"
The Galaxy Watch 4 features 1,5GB of memory, so it might have 2GB on board along with its 32GB of storage which will be useful for downloading music off YouTube Music.

I guess Google's plan is to rebrand old Samsung chips and changing it slightly, we hope it will sound better than it is on paper.

Pixel 6a unboxing video leaked by Google Retail Training France
TechDroider & Google Retail Training France

A retail training video has been leaked showing an unboxing of the Pixel 6a.

Like the Pixel 6, Google does not include a charger leaving the USB-C to USB-C cable and the USB-C OTG adapter the only accessories in the box.

Pixel 6a's brand new fingerprint sensor in action
Google Retail Training France

Noteworthy of the previous leak, the presenter unlocks their device using the fingerprint sensor which has been changed from the Pixel 6 as been stated here.

The scanner seems to work fine! It is not as fast as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor found in flagship Samsung smartphones, but for a mid-range smartphone the one found in the 6a should suffice.

This month Google mentioned they are bringing the improved Nearby Share which will let users share seamlessly across their own devices which have the same Google account signed in (still haven't rolled out for me at the time of posting, lol.)

Besides, the help page of Google applications has been updated. It's unclear how it looks for now, but it could probably come with Material You elements, time will tell. Password Checkup is also updated so that users can take action to their saved passwords if it is breached for example.

Play Store web redesign widely rollout, alongside with Data Safety section
After years of waiting, the long-awaited Play Store web version redesign is finally rolling out globally, which matches the current design of the Play Store app itself. If you don’t know yet, Google has been experimenting with the Play Store redesign a few months ago.

This redesign has brought a refresh for the category into Games, Apps, Movies, Books, Kids. It appeared for desktop users on the top while mobile users can access it from the bottom. While opening the app listing, you will see everything has been reorganised on the desktop side, whereas on mobile it is something similar to the Play Store app itself.

Lastly, Data Safety. The section is now available on the web version and you can see how apps manage your data before you give it a try. As expected, it will be made available on the Play Store app for all platforms soon.
