Google Meet is receiving some helpful features to make it a better place for learning.
Earlier we have known that picture-in-picture is arriving on desktop, letting you see up to four participants in a popup window while letting you navigate between different windows and tabs. It will be only available on the Chrome browser. Admins can also now control to choose which users can have access to a particular feature.
Soon over at livestream, users will be able to participate in Q&A and polls. Furthermore, Meet will be able to auto-transcribe calls into a Google Doc, this way you get to save more account storage. Schools can also stream Meet calls over to YouTube for large events. These three features are only available if the account is part of Google Workspace for Education Plus and the Teaching & Learning Upgrade.
There are also some improvements for accessibility features, like individualized accessibility preferences and alt-text in Gmail.

Students can use it to record reports, presentations or access live lessons remotely. All these recordings will be automatically uploaded to Google Drive.
Next, cast moderator. Teachers can cast content on Chromebooks to TV by entering code. After that, teachers can invite students to cast their screen. Some schools in the US will be getting it this summer, you can fill in this form to get notified about availability.
Lastly, Figma, a collaborative design tool, is announcing free app licenses for U.S. high schools using Chromebooks. Schools can apply for it over here and it will be launching this summer.

Hey there, don't worry, i didn't forget the channel, have been busy in real life and decided to take a break. To be honest, I didn't expect a few more people joining in and waiting for the next post on this channel,
By the time of posting, I am still pretty much busy. I personally haven't been catching up with all the stuff that Google has recently announced, just only some of the important ones like monthly updates and Android 13 beta. Anyway, as the channel is hitting its 1st year anniversary, I wanted to celebrate it with this post, at the same time, let's bring it back to life.
Yeah, I can't just continue with posting short articles about various stuff every day, so I decided to turn it into something similar to blog which I will only share some topics that I am interested in, which will include those Pixel related news you used to get for sure. By the way, one week till Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro public release.
I guess for some, you can probably decide to unmute the channel as I won't be mass posting in the future most likely. You can also follow our other channels if you don't know yet by checking the pinned message or denoscription. Google's feedback form now has a brand new design
Support page for Google applications has been updated to adapt Material You design on Android, widely rolled out a few weeks ago. Besides that, the "send feedback" interface has been updated too.
Before that, pressing on it will open the form in another page. Now that's updated and you will see a small popup window instead. When first pressing on it, you will see a brief of words describing what to do. There's a "Get started" button, which will proceed you to the sending feedback section after pressing on it. If you decide to discard, there's a popup confirmation which will let you choose to continue to write or discard it.
Not just on Android, the web interface for sending feedback has been updated too. It will open the feedback form on the right side instead of the middle. You can also capture a screenshot and later edit it to highlight or hide info.
*Bet most of you guys aren't aware of it, and I just saw this today, so sharing it here.

Android 13 Beta 4.1 released!
Finally, we are back to business. A minor update for Beta 4 is here to fix some issues.

Changes:
• Fixed an issue that prevented an app from enabling or disabling Bluetooth if it didn't have the BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permission, even though the app was targeting an API level where the permission is not required.
• Fixed issues that sometimes caused a device to crash and reboot when connecting to certain WiFi networks.
• Fixed an issue where Meet connectivity could drop while driving.
• Fixed an issue where the system could incorrectly interpret GPS data.

Pixel 7 series camera sensors leaked, here's the list of them (Part 1)

Kamila Wojciechowska has discovered a list of future Google Pixel devices camera sensor list. The list could be inaccurate due to it coming from Data Digging.
Pixel 7 (C10/P10): Samsung GN1 (primary), Sony IMX 381 (ultrawide) and Samsung 3J1 (front)
The rear sensors are the same as the previous model, but the new 11MP front camera supports dual pixel "which should improve the quality and allow for semi-secure face authentication" according to the leaker. The front camera has been seen in the Galaxy S10.
Pixel 7 Pro: Samsung GN1 (primary), Sony IMX 381 (ultrawide), Samsung GM1 (telephoto) and Samsung 3J1
This year Google has decided to switch the old Sony IMX 586 for Samsungs construction, specs-wise they're similar to each other though. Like the Pixel 7, it could feature a brand new front camera sensor to have more consistent colors.

Today is the day, Pixel 6a is officially released and now on Google Store from $449 in the US. Pixel Buds Pro is released alongside too for $200.
There are two variants of factory & OTA images for the Pixel 6a, one for the Japan model and another for Verizon carrier model. There is currently no global variant but that is likely to be released in the upcoming August update.

Google Play Store new icon widely rolling out to more users
New logo of the Google Play Store is appearing for more users starting today after being announced nearly a month ago. The new logo came with the app version 31.6.13-21. The web version has also received the update too, though the tab icon is still not updated.
The previous icon has been used since 2017, as Google dropped the shopping bag from the logo. The current icon got a slight redesign with minor changes in the color being used. Here’s one last look of the old Play Store icon, after all we will miss it.

YouTube tests out video zoom on mobile for Premium users
Currently YouTube is trying out the pinch to zoom feature as an experimental feature.
Before this feature you could've only zoomed to fit the content on your non 16:9 aspect ratio device, but now you will be able to see specific parts of the video.
YouTube Premium users can opt in to use it until September 1st, after that timeframe Google could decide to scrap that idea or roll it out to more people.
