YouTube desktop web received rounded UI elements update
Recently, YouTube is experimenting with rounded UI elements for the desktop web platform. On the homepage, you can see the sign-in button is rounded and the expanded popup player has Watch later and Add to queue option labelled in a pill-shaped button.
On the other hand, the subscribe button becomes a pill-shaped button instead of rectangular. When your mouse hovered over some clickable elements, you will see the glow effect is rounded in shape, for example when you wanted to expand comment replies or apply search filters. Besides that, YouTube Shorts player also got an updated button layout in which the icons appeared in a circle shape and the text is displayed outside.
Although it's a minor change, it's nice to have it. This is currently under the A/B testing phase, so chances of seeing it right now is pretty minor, but that will start to expand if YouTube decides to roll it out for everyone.

Google Pixel phones are fully back in India!

After the Pixel 6a release in India, Google had decided to come back fully into that market again by listing the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro series on Flipkart, a popular retailer over there.
The last flagship Pixels sold there officially were the 3 series. After that, they only sold the 3a and 4a series until stopping the sale of their devices.
This could've happened because Google has decided to move 10-20% of the production over there.

Tensor G2 benchmark leaked, reveals some efficiency upgrades

A few days ago someone has tested a prototype Pixel 7 Pro in Geekbench revealing some information about the next generation Tensor chip (internally named "gs201")
The core layout of the chip has not been changed, with it having 2x Cortex X1, 2x Cortex A76 and 4x Cortex A55 cores with higher frequencies.
They have switched to the 4nm 4LPE process which should give about 10% performance increase along more thermal headroom and efficiency at higher frequencies.
The GPU has been changed to a more powerful Mali-G710 from the Mali-G78 which promises a 20% performance boost with a 20% power reduction along a 35% machine learning speedup.
There's also going to be an improved TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) codenames Janeiro.
Tensor G2 features the brand new Samsung S5300 modem that should enable NR Rel. 16 features and improve peak speeds and stability.

Official Pixel 7 cases leaked with slight changes to last year's

The official Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro cases have been leaked. The design is similar to last years, but the transparent material has been changed for a solid color, and the buttons are made of a solid material, either glossy plastic or shiny metal. Hopefully these changes will fix the discoloration and deformation issues with the last year's case.
The Pixel 7 cases come in 3 colors: Lemongrass, Obsidian and Chalk.

Google has decided to kill off their almost three year old cloud gaming service.
All Stadia hardware purchases made through the Google Store, and all game and add-on content purchases made through the Stadia store will be refunded.
Players will continue to have access to their games library and play through January 18, 2023 so they can complete final play sessions.

Google has been sending out invitations to the Pixel 7 launch, one of which being located in Copenhagen, Denmark. There's going to be a special event for attendees to “meet the newest members of the Made by Google family.”
Events like this are also planned in Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands. These countries don't have any information about the Pixel 7 availability on the Google Store which could hint that Google is finally expanding into more countries with their smartphones.
