Google Tensor Chips: Debunking the Myth of Exynos 2100/2200 based Design
There's a lot of talk about Google "rebasing or modifying Exynos 2100/2200" for the Tensor G1/G2 chips. However, this is NOT accurate.
In reality, Tensor G1/G2 chips are custom-designed by Google and built on a different block and node, though they do share some parts like CPU design and DDR controller and blocks with Exynos chips.
The CORE design of the Tensor G1/G2 chips is based on the Exynos 9820 found in Galaxy S10. Google replaced the Mongoose cores with Cortex X1 cores, added the Tensor Processing Unit, Titan Processing Unit, made changes to the decon, mfc and swapped the memory controllers from newer Exynos chips.
Some mentions of Exynos 9820 can be found in the GS101 device tree for building Android, like the reference to
Other SoC vendors do similar things as well; for example, Qualcomm used various parts from older chips to make the Trinket platform. The Snapdragon 665 uses parts like Alpha PLL Snapdragon 652, MDSS PLL from SD 821, OSM from SD 845, and MDP Block SD 855 but is built on a different node and has a new MDP block, making it a newer platform.
In conclusion, Google Tensor chips are custom-designed to meet Google's specific needs and are not based on or modified versions of Samsung's Exynos chips.

Files by Google now supports drag & drop file feature
Some aren't aware of it, but you can actually drag & drop files in certain apps like uploading attachments in Gmail for example. Earlier Google has pushed updates for their Files app. In the changelog, they mentioned about the support of this feature, and recently it has been enabled via server side for most users.
From any part of the app, you can select files and hold it to activate the feature, then later drag and drop it to another supported app with split screen view. From the other perspective, if you dragged files from other apps to Files, the app will copy those files to the directory that you opened.
*I really hope Google does something to improve and raise awareness to this feature though, it's useful but the value it brings for now throughout the operating system ain't enough yet.

Google Drive (v2.23.111.2) improved interface for landscape orientation and large screen devices
Google Workspace Updates | Play Store | APKMirror
Google has been working hard on improving their apps to be well-optimised on tablet and foldable devices, and recently Drive app is receiving the treatment.
The improved interface is also available to mobile devices while in landscape mode, with all of the options in the navigation bar migrating to the left side. Beside the account picker, there is the help & support and settings icon which was moved out from the hamburger menu. If you are on other devices, the "create" FAB will be located at the upper part of the navigation rail.
In addition, column view now shows your files & folders in two columns instead of one. Besides, you can open them in a split view by tapping the three-dot button on the corresponding file or folder.

Nearby Share beta comes to Windows
Google has launched the Nearby Share beta which allows users to transfer files between their Android devices and PCs.
You'll be able to quickly transfer photos, videos, documents, audio files or entire folders between your Android device and Windows PCs. Users can send files via drag-n-drop or right-click and select "Send with Nearby Share".
All Nearby Share transfers are protected by end-to-end encryption. Same as on Android, you can pick the same device visibility controls: Everyone, Contacts, Your devices, No one.
The app requires Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to be enabled on the PC and the Android device, with a maximum proximity of 5 meters. You'll also need a Google account to customize sharing preferences.
The app is available as a direct download from android.com for Windows 10 and newer with 64-bit versions.

Pixel Hub is no more - say hello to Apple Hub
We got some big news here. Pixel Hub is making a big shift and rebranding to Apple Hub.
Why? Pixel devices have been quite boring lately. The 7 is basically like the 6 but with "less issues". It looks like Google is trying to copy Apple but with a worse ecosystem. And we all know how bad Bard is.
So, after a long discussion with the team, we've decided that Apple devices are more worth talking about. We know many of you are Apple fans, so we can't wait to make articles about them!

iPhone 15 Pro will have an Action Button instead of a Mute Switch
Source
As previously leaked, Apple is trying to get rid of the physical buttons for solid-state ones. With this change, they have decided to change the classic Mute Switch for an Action Button.
With the Action Button, you'll be able to customize what it does, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. Besides the ring/silent toggle, you might be able to:
• Toggle Do Not Disturb
• Take a screenshot
• Toggle the flashlight
• Open the camera
• Switch between Light/Dark Mode

Google Drive now has a 5 million file limit
Reddit
Around February of this year, Google has added a 5 million file limit to Google Drive users without any prior warning, causing major inconvenience to several users.
The limit is not documented anywhere, with Google not showing the amount of files you have so the only way to know is to exceed the amount.
The 5 million file limit in Google Drive was introduced to prevent misuse of their system, that could affect its stability and safety. The limit applies to each user's creations and not a total cap for all files in a drive. This issue won't affect most users, and only a very small number of users will be impacted.
Update:
This change has been reverted.
