Google can now delete accounts that have been unused for 2 years
Google Blog

Google has announced that from December 2023, they may delete inactive accounts that haven't been used for 2 years, including content in Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet, Calendar, YouTube and Google Photos.

Abandoned accounts are 10x less likely to have 2FA enabled, which can make them more vulnerable to identity theft. (so the best way to combat this is to remove your access to all of your accounts and email, right?)

This will only affect personal Google accounts, and not organizations like businesses or schools.

To keep your account active, you'll need to do one of either:
• have any subnoscription including Google One
• read/send an email
• use Google Drive/Search
• watch a YouTube video
• download an app from the Play Store
• sign in using Google for a third party app
• sign in to Google Photos

Google will send multiple notifications to your emails (including the recovery) before removing any content.

First ever look at Pixel 8 Pro
91Mobiles

The leaker Kamila Wojciechowska has released a real life video showcasing a prototype Google Pixel 8 Pro. You can see the full design of the phone in white and a showcase of the brand new thermometer feature.

There's now one wide pill fitting all of the cameras that looks larger than the one on the Pixel 7 Pro, and next to it there's the LED flash and thermometer sensor.

The infrared thermometer sensor lets you scan the body temperature by bringing the phone to your forehead, similar to other touchless thermometers.

Material You theming on Wear OS 4
9To5Google

Besides the changes announced during Google I/O, there's more new goodies in the future Wear OS update! The 9To5Google team have enabled a hidden toggle to "enable dynamic theme" which brings the familiar Material You color theming known from Android 12 and newer!

With the dynamic theme, the UI elements like the Quick Settings tiles, Settings or the Play Store will get themed in the color of your watch face.

For example, the shade "Lavender" will bring a pink hue to the system elements and "Honey" will theme it in yellow/golden-brown. Third party watch faces will theme your watch in blue, although it might be customizable by watch face developers.
