Shopping experience with Google Search is much better
Use Google Lens while scrolling through feed on iOS, Chrome getting Lens functionality soon
Soon on iOS, you can use Google Lens directly on images in the Google app. Google Lens on Chrome will also be widely roll out soon. You will be able to select images, video and text content on the website quickly and see results on the same tab.

More results of shopping items right at your Search homepage
You will also see more shopping results on your mobile if you are searching something related to clothing, shoes and accessories. It is powered by Google Shopping Graph , with more than 24 billion listing of products invetory and merchants, all done in real-time.

Search in-store inventory without going into the store
You can now search and check for products whether they are sold in the store or not. Also for several products, you can check whether they are still in stock or not.

Google Maps Material You widget first look
9To5Google seems to have discovered the new Material You widget for Google Maps. It currently does support Dynamic Colors too.

In the widget, we can see that the smallest widget (3x2) has a search bar and two options under it. At 4x2 and 5x2 widget size, we can now see 4 options. The largest widget shown in the screenshot, which has a size of 5x4 I guess, show up all the options available in the widget. Following are the options order respectively:
Home, Restaurants, Bakery, Groceries, Pharmacies, Gas, Hotels.

It is currently hidden in the Google Maps v11.0 beta. The widget seems to only be available for Android 11 & later. On Android 11, it just gonna follow the blue hue like how other Material You redesign apps do. (9To5Google)

Google Messages Material You with Dynamic Colors rolling out widely
Previously Google Messages Material You redesign is limited to the design only, but the Dynamic Colors support should be rolling out to more people now.

All aspect of the app UI are following your device wallpaper color if you are on Android 12. From the text to icon, literally everything get colored. Same as the initial redesign, it is rolling out via server side. (9To5Google)

Personal Safety app rolling out Material You redesign, getting automatic video recording when ‘Emergency SOS’ is triggered
Personal Safety is meant to be saving people life when they are in danger, so recently it get one neat feature, auto video recording when you triggered Emergency SOS.

The video recording will record up to 45 minutes of footage, you can stop it whenever you want to. You will be able to use it when it is recording. It will also get backup to your Google acocunt if you have Internet connection available, else it will just be available in the device. The video recording use approximately 10MB/min. Auto Share function is available which share the clip link to your emergency contacts.

Being part with Google and Pixel, Google is rolling out Material You redesign for it. It have all those Android 12 UI too. (9To5Google)

YouTube for Android gains Google Assistant integration
YouTube has been testing many experimental features via Premium subnoscription. Next on the list is "Do more with Assistant", which brings Google Assistant to your YouTube video.

When watching some YouTube videos, opening the denoscription of the video and scroll down, you will see a new section which show topics that are related in the video, like the singers, actors, host, movies, place and many more. Something that we are not sure is how this works, is it related to video tag, descrption, caption, time will tell.

You can enable the feature via https://www.youtube.com/new if you are a Premium subscriber. The features will be available till October 26 to try. (9To5Google)
