You no longer need to say 'Hey Google' for some Assistant commands with Quick Phrase
Earlier people at 9To5Google have already spotted this feature to be in the work. Apparently, someone got early access to it.
When you received incoming call, you just need to say "Answer" or "Decline" and Google Assistant will do the job for you. Same for ringing alarm, you just need to say "Stop" or "Snooze". No "Hey Google" keyword needed.
One downside is that if you enabled Quick Phrases for incoming calls, you will need to aware that if someone says or there any noise that sounds like "answer", else your call with the person will start without your confirmation. Google Assistant will also remind you that you can say to trigger the actions instead of tapping the button.
XDA's Mishaal Rahman spotted it on his Pixel 3 XL running latest Android 12 beta. He also said that the "learn more" page is an internal webpage for now. So an accidental rollout by Google for him. (XDA Developers)

YouTube Rewind comes to an end
YouTube just confirmed that they are no longer creating Rewind videos anymore, but something might replace that.
So YouTube reached out to Tubefilter and told them they are not making YouTube Rewind videos anymore. Just later, YouTube Creators Twitter account confirmed it and also told they are working on "a different and updated kind of experience."
So far this is the info we got, what they are working on is unknown. YouTube themselves suggest people who like this series of videos to watch it from popular creators. (9To5Google)

Pixel 6 Pro teardown first look
YouTube Video | Repair Manual
UPDATE: The video is took down by Google due to copyright claims.
Google Pixel 6 leaks won't stop after all, teardown video is even up on the Internet now.
Google will officially unveiled the device on October 19 if you don't know yet. So someone on YouTube apparently posted "Pixel 6 assembly video". It shows the starting of the assembly till the final production. There another separate video for disassembly the device.
Not going into detail of the process, lol. It going to be a long one and most won't understand if I am going to write. For those with curiosity, learn more about it here. (9To5Google)

Remembering the Google Pixel 1, five years on
Not an update, but just to mark that Google Pixel 1 is officially 5 years old.
Before Google Pixel is launched, Nexus used to be Google phone lineup, partnering with other OEMs and releasing it. The last Nexus phone is the Huawei Nexus 6P.
In Oct 2016, first smartphone "made by Google" era started. What's different from the Nexus lineup is that the reviewers at that time found that it has crystal clear camera, superior performance and a cool new Assistant.
Talking about camera, it still holding so well in 2021 that it still beat recent mid range devices. Every shot on the Pixel have HDR+ enabled, taking photos with it, the details are so clear, even 48MP lens from other devices didn't take as clear as that from what I tested. Google had introduce HDR+ in Nexus 5 as an optional setting. On the Pixel, they took a major step to improve it and make it enabled by default.
In 2016, Google Pixel is the king of computational photography. The technology that are put into it are just mind blowing, make other OEMs camera performance looks not great anymore at that time.
Google Pixel initially launch with some cool Google's perks, it is the first phone to have Android Nougat and the Google Assistant. Also, not to mention that it has unlimited Google Photos backup, in original quality, meanwhile later Pixel till Pixel 5 has high quality (now storage saver).
Things doesn't just stop here, as Google introduced Pixel Feature Drop and we are part of the club unofficially. Some features like Gboard new clipboard suggestion chips, we got it after the launch, though it now rolling out widely to other devices.
Written some of my opinion here, inspired by Android Central article, you can give them a read if you want. In case you don't know yet, we have a Pixel 1 community (here group chat).

Google willing to help Apple develop RCS messaging for iPhones
Rich Communication Services (RCS) is a great way to communicate with others without needing to pay for S.M.S charge fee and get better functionality. And apparently, Google wanted to help Apple develop it to connect the messaging world.
Google's Senior Vice President Hiroshi Lockheimer tweeted that they are offering help for Apple to add RCS support. To make this fun, the tweet was in response to a story from Golf Digest about a golfer named Bryson DeChambeau who was ruining iMessage group chat with green bubble. Lockheimer also added there is a "Really Clear Solution" to group chats not breaking this way.
Some stuff might not have a great start, this include Google's RCS. Anyway Google managed to convince most U.S. carriers to make RCS as default texting solution on Android devices earlier this year. Google Messages will also be the default messaging app on all Android phones sold by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, starting 2022. (Android Central)

New 'Landscape' & 'Art' wallpapers leaked, exclusive for Pixel 6
Related: New 'Motif' wallpaper collection for Pixel 6
Ah yes, 4th wallpaper collection for the Pixel 6 series this year. This time the wallpaper collection is named 'Landscape’ & ‘Art', and it seems to be a Pixel 6 exclusive.
There are a total of 18 wallpapers for 'Landscape', carry a “Nature’s colors find a way to shine in any light” caption, photographed by Petros Koublis.
'Art' has 14 of it. They have a “Colored by your imagination” tagline but are otherwise unnoscriptd. All these wallpapers have and blurry water-like quality, something similar to the new AOSP wallpaper. (9To5Google)
*There are just tons of wallpapers and are big in size, lol. For now, I am just going to upload two separate zips of these wallpapers. Sorry for those people with limited data, will try to find solution in the near future, also recommend to download with desktop client, it download way faster.
