VFW-Fokker VAK-191B German experimental VTOL attack/strike aircraft undergoing trials, somewhere between 1971 and 1975.
3 Prototypes were made, and the way it got its VTOL capabilities is almost exactly the same as the Yak-38 - 2 main engines to drive it forward in cruise (engine type: Rolls-Royce RB 162-81F-08 Turbojet) [The Yak-38 however only used 1 engine to do so], and 1 lifting fan (The Yak-38 had 2), using the Roll-Royce/MAN Turbo RB 193-12 vectored thrust turbofan engine for VTOL operations/cruise

If the F-47 really does come out with canards, then a representative has got to come out and fill this form up on behalf of the Americans 😭

okay in all seriousness however I'm actually intrigued as to how people would change their perceptions of canard aircraft;
The Chinese vigorously defended their choice of canards on the J-20 and basically everyone else said "Nuh uh"
This would be a curious shift in dynamics, given that 6th-generation aircraft should probably not have it.
Would the Chinese talk smack about the canards now? What about everyone else?
I'm curious as to what you guys think about canards in general, leave a comment below!
"oh no, I want to hit that aircraft over there but I can't, whatever should I do?!"

Russian Government Special Flight Squadron IL-96-300 (RA-96023) at John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK), earlier today.
Who/what it's carrying and why is there is still unknown at the moment.
Possibly related to something diplomatic, given the presence of a Russian Embassy in New York
