The funeral of three-year-old Melina Asadi, who was murdered during during one such terrorist shooting spree, attracted a massive crowd, while a government-called mobilisation on 15 January brought at least one million Iranians to the streets in defence of their country’s sovereignty and independence.
Aiming to fragment the population and cause chaos, the imperialists have instead promoted the cause of national unity.

What would it take to remake the trade union movement in Britain in such a way that it could truly harness our power and serve our interests as working-class people?
Since the postwar settlement effectively persuaded Britain’s old Communist party (CPGB) to give up the class struggle and devote its energies to supporting the imperialist Labour party, our trade union movement has been in retreat. A retreat that accelerated into a rout following the defeat of the miners in 1984.
This situation must be reversed if the working class is to have any chance of acting in its own interests against austerity and war, but the present Labour-aligned leadership is a major barrier to any meaningful revival of union militancy.

Dockers at the Italian port of Genoa have repeatedly highlighted the role of their port in the imperialist war machine.
They have refused to load cargos that were meant for the wars in Ukraine and Palestine, and have led stoppages and general strikes in solidarity with Palestine.
This example needs to be followed and the movement to become widespread. The war machine cannot function without the working class!

Solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran!
The last few weeks in Iran were marked by protests and civil war-like situations. Most leftists and communists in Germany uncritically supported the protests and encouraged its development towards a civil war. In doing so, they reproduced narratives and supposed facts propagated by imperialism and ignored counter-movements.
We contrast these positions with the actual circumstances and course of the protests. We show how such a positioning of the left—whether intentional or unintentional—helps in legitimizing the war course against Iran and is thus effectively directed against the interests of the Iranian people.
For if it is indeed a matter of supporting the Iranian people in their struggle for greater self-determination, our struggle must be directed against the economic war waged by means of sanctions and against the military preparations for war.

On 19 October 2023, Ansar Allah’s leadership publicly declared that, in response to the zionist refusal to allow food or medicine into Gaza, it would impose a reciprocal blockade by physically stopping Israel-bound commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
Repeated attempts by the imperialists to break this blockade failed completely, and the Yemeni people thus inflicted a huge blow on the Israeli economy, which only survived as a result of ever-increasing western subsidies.
