It’s official: Boss Fighters is moving off Open Loot
Hey Fighters & Bosses — big update today. We know platform changes can spark worry about your items, balances, or what’s next. So let’s be clear and calm about it: your assets are safe, play continues, and we have a concrete plan forward. This step lets us build a more sustainable, player-first economy and share a roadmap that doesn’t depend on OL.
Parts of this direction came up in our recent AMA — catch the recap here:
And yes, the future is already in motion: first announcements drop next week.
The transition plan at a glance
Oct 4 — Access & market changes
▪️Sign-in via Open Loot stops; launch via Steam or Meta Quest.
▪️Boss Fighters will no longer be available in the OL launcher.
In-game OL balances (FLEX, Variator, Reinforcer, Arena Tickets) will show 0 because inventories won’t sync — but your balances still exist on OL during the migration window.
▪️Trading pauses on OL (premium currency trading off; token deposit/withdraw disabled).
▪️All NFT listings are canceled; ongoing rentals continue until their end date and won’t renew.
Oct 4 → Nov 4 — Migration window
▪️Ownership of your NFTs, tokens, and premium currencies remains recorded on OL. No action needed to preserve anything.
▪️Keep playing via Steam/Meta Quest as usual.
Nov 4 — Snapshot
▪️We receive OL’s final ownership snapshot (incl. mystery boxes and in-game currencies).
▪️Using it, we’ll phase in the re-issue of your NFTs and in-game currencies after Nov 4 and publish simple claim/link steps when ready.
NOTE: Make sure to connect your Metamask wallet to your BOSS FIGHTERS account to ensure smooth migration.
Bottom line: nothing you own disappears; NFTs, tokens, and balances tied to OL will be honored from the snapshot and re-issued in our updated system.
We’ll publish the details how your assets will be treated and step-by-step instructions by the end of next week.
The Open Loot chapter taught us a lot, and we’re truly grateful for that experience.
But most of all, we’re grateful for you — you turned Boss Fighters from an experiment into a living world with your feedback, your passion, and your belief.
Next week we start revealing what’s next — and the path becomes clear.

💎 It’s time to lift the curtain on our ecosystem!
@everyone Over the past months we’ve been shaping something bigger — a connected layer that unites multiple indie games under one token and fair, transparent rewards.
And after many rounds of brainstorming (and realizing every good name in Web3 is already taken 😅), we’ve chosen the one that fits us best: GemBit Games
Thanks to everyone who shared ideas and helped us find it 💚
Our first article dives into what GemBit Games is all about — how it connects games through shared progression, fair rewards, and a player-first economy built on real activity, not speculation.

💎 Exciting news — Kokodi joins the GemBit Games!
If you’ve been around since the OpenLoot days, you might remember Kokodi — is an extraction royale multiplayer game where players fight for survival in a world without adults, split between two rival clans — Koko and Di.
Now the team joins our expanding GemBit ecosystem as we build a connected layer for indie games and shared rewards.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and this is just the beginning — more announcements are coming later this week 👀
We’ve only begun connecting the dots — and Kokodi is just the start 💜

🎨Sketch Crawler — a roguelike where creativity becomes gameplay
Today we’re introducing another noscript coming to the GemBit Games ecosystem — Sketch Crawler, a roguelike deck-building RPG from one of the minds behind S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
At its core, Sketch Crawler is about fighting through procedurally generated dungeons, upgrading your deck, collecting abilities, and pushing as far as your build allows — classic roguelike progression.
But the game has one twist that makes it truly unique:
you can redraw nearly anything🎨— creatures, spells, objects, even dungeon elements. And your drawings don’t disappear; they carry forward into future runs, gradually shaping the world with your personal style.
It’s a distinctive, player-driven experience — the kind of game that naturally fits into what we’re building with GemBit.
You can already pre-register for Sketch Crawler on our website to receive updates first 💜

💎 GemBit’s Approach to Stable Rewards
One of the main goals of GemBit’s reward layer is simple:
build a reward system that stays healthy long-term — without endless emissions, printing, or “ponzi-style” loops.
Here’s how GemBit keeps rewards fair and durable:
🔹 1. Real spend, real buybacks — no printing
🔹 2. One token, many games, one shared pot
🔹 3. Risk-to-reward, auto-balanced by activity
🕹️What this means for players
You’re not farming emissions — you’re tapping into a shared, spend-backed reward layer where outcomes are tied to real play, real risk, and real activity across the GemBit Games.
Want the deeper version?

💥 Boss Fighters is back in the arena!
We’re excited to share that we’ve been nominated in TWO categories at the PlayToEarn Game Awards 2025:
Best Action Game and Best Shooter Game. 🔥🔥
Last year our community helped us take the crown — and being nominated again (twice!) feels incredibly motivating for the whole team.
We’ve been through a lot this year, made tough decisions, rebuilt many things from scratch — so moments like this feel especially meaningful.
Let’s show what the Boss Fighters community can do 💪⚡️

📢 Quick Update from the Team
We know many of you are waiting for updates — and honestly, we also wish things were moving faster.
So here’s a clear look at what’s happening behind the scenes right now:
🔗 Ecosystem & Blockchain Selection
We’re in the final stage of choosing the blockchain where Boss Fighters assets will be migrated and where the whole GemBit ecosystem will be built.
This is a major, long-term decision that affects infrastructure, tools, integrations, and our ability to scale — so we’re taking it seriously.
We’re in active discussions with several large chains. Some of them also have grant and investment programs we’ve applied to, but since these are big companies, the review process naturally takes time.
🤝 Expanding Partnerships
At the same time, we’re continuing to talk with new partners and studios who can strengthen and expand the ecosystem. This includes both technical integrations and potential new content.
🎮 Boss Fighters Development
We also hear your concerns about motivation to play.
Right now the team is preparing updates specifically focused on bringing back meaningful incentives and making it worthwhile for you to jump back into the game.
As soon as everything is ready — we’ll share more details.
@everyone Thank you all for your patience and for sticking with us.
We’re working to make sure the progress ahead is real and worth the wait 💜

💥 Boss Fighters Update
You’ve been asking for it for a long time — and we finally started building it.
VR Fighter Mode is in development. 🥽⚔️
Our team already tested the very first internal build and… it’s mind-blowing.
A completely different level of immersion and tension — every dodge, every hit, every sprint feels real when you’re inside the arena. It’s intense, physical, and honestly one of the wildest ways to experience Boss Fighters.
🎥 And since words don’t do it justice — watch the gameplay clip below to see what the early version looks like.
We’re still early in development, but we couldn’t wait to share that it’s finally happening.
More updates coming as we keep shaping this mode.
💜Thanks for sticking with us and pushing us to build the features you’ve been waiting for.
