In the #Kostyantynivka direction, #Russia 🇷🇺 started serious offensive operations to flank the city from the west and breach #Ukraine🇺🇦's little number of prepared defenses there, with the help of new drone innovations.

Novomykolaivka, Pokrovsk direction. This night the Ukrainians attacked a forest strip south of Novomykolaivka with a Bradley and a BMP, that was later destroyed, with the aim of encircling the Russians in the eastern part of Novomykolaivka. The southernmost street of the village and the northernmost part of the treeline were captured, fighting is ongoing for positions further down the treeline.
This move came with the stabilization of the situation in Novoserhiivka by the Spartan Brigade, which recently conducted a sweep of the village, and the situation in the fields west of Kotlyarivka, where the Russians have a hard time gaining a foothold.

Quick addition to my last thread.
Many people are saying "Ukraine doesn't have enough men to cover this line". This is true, at least to some extent. My opinion on this, though, is that the strong part of the New Donbas Line is actually the anti-tank ditches and the wire, not the trenches behind. I think that the line was designed to facilitate in the transition of the UAF to an army with heavy drone support: Ukrainian UAV pilots will be able to easily pick off Russian infantrymen trying to overcome the 3 (!) anti-tank ditches and the two barbed wire lines, which are more of an obstacle than you probably think.
Keep in mind that then there's going to likely be a river, a hill and only then the actual Ukrainian trench systems, which, with a thought-out reserve, can be reinforced at will.
This is the model of defense that I think the Ukrainians are working on. Obviously it's easier said than done, though.
About the "but can it withstand FABs? I don't think so" questions, even if a breach were to be created, keep in mind that Ukraine has a large drone contingent in their army, and can communicate the position of the breach to nearby units and control it efficiently, if not even patch them up with UGVs and barbed wire, but that's still an experimental thing.

Ukrainian officer Osman about fortifications, completely confirming every single one of my points on this topic (!):
You can create a truly impenetrable line of defense for the enemy — it's easier and cheaper than it seems.
• Anti-tank ditch with barbed wire inside.
• Barbed wire in the field with 10 meters of distance between each row of it.
• In the forest belts, infantry trenches, "guts", with dugouts are dug, which are built without uprooting trees [to maintain camouflage], manually or with small tractors.
• "Guts" in forest belts on dominant heights with special dugouts intended for UAV crews.

Toretsk, info from the field.
The Russians are currently consolidating control under the lakes north of the city and are attacking the terykon north-east of the mine west of the city.
At Shcherbynivka and Petrivka Russian forces try to infiltrate in small groups but are discovered and eliminated - no progress there.
In the westernmost part of Yablunivka the Russians are holding stable positions under heavy Ukrainian FPV activity, but are denied any advance further: from the field they confirm that area and Popiv Yar are kill zones for Russians, just like Uspenivka south of Pokrovsk a month or two ago.
