Kyiv mayor: the capital is surrounded, evacuation is impossible, but the citizens are honored

Vitali Klitschko told the Associated Press that the evacuation of the capital could not be arranged because all roads were blocked, the city was surrounded by Russians.

It is now known about the 9 civilians killed in Kiev, including one child. Dwelling houses are under Russian fire, Russian troops are trying to invade some parts of the city, saboteurs are coming. Air alarms are sounding. At night - curfew.

The city, says Klitschko, "is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe." But the mayor is proud of the people of Kiev: "We show our character." There are queues for registration in the Territorial Defense.

"Every Ukrainian is proud to be independent, proud to be Ukrainian, and we are proud to have our own country."
