#PostDoc Position

Area: Chemical Engineering

There is a postdoc position to develop a PVT solver to predict VLE, VLLE, and LLE of hydrocarbon systems with high amount of CO2. A Ph.D. in chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, or a related area is required. The candidate must:

1) Have strong knowledge in thermodynamic equations and calculations;
2) Have programming skills (C++, Python, …);
3) Have proven experience in development of EOSs (Cubic, SAFT, ...).

The project will be based in the Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Pipelines (LEMT), the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). The position is available at least for 2 years. The amount of scholarship depends on the candidate experience. Interested candidates can send a CV and motivation letter to hamid@matematica.ufrj.br.
