If you have received a rejection letter (either from a university or a research position vacancy), remember you are not alone.
We believe that preparing, submitting, and waiting for an outcome of an application could be frustrating and securing a position can put huge pressure on you.
If you have got an unfortunate result, this could go beyond your mental abilities to deal with.
We suggest you try not to be discouraged and never give up. Try to collect feedback from your peers on your application, find something to do such as a volunteering opportunity, or keep reading to find your way again. Opportunities appear throughout the year and there are lots of chances ahead of you.
Whenever you feel that you are struggling or need help, remember that you are not alone, and we are a community here, and we can talk.

Successful applicants to the PhD position must either have a relevant Master’s degree in Nanoscience, Chemistry, Physics or Molecular biology, or equivalent or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Nanoscience, Chemistry, Physics or Molecular biology and be expecting to have completed around 12 months of a 2 years master’s degree relevant for admittance as a 4+4 PhD student.
