Self Assembly Nanomaterial Laboratory in the Department of Polymer Engineering at Pukyong National University invites applications for a graduate degree (Ph.D. program) in the field of nanomaterials. In this laboratory, we are struggling for designing nanostructured materials composed of polymers and inorganic nanoparticles. In our approach, polymeric materials provide a number of flexibilities in the nanostructures in terms of size, shape, and chemical affinity, while inorganic nanoparticles offer specific functionalities. We are currently focusing on the optical, electrical, and catalytic aspects of metal nanoparticles in developing high-performance polymer composites.

– The chosen candidates will be enrolled starting from September 2019 (Fall Semester).
– The position is fully funded including a tuition waiver and a competitive monthly salary
Required Qualifications

– Graduate from Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science
– Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
– Candidates with some experience to synthesize polymers or inorganic materials are welcome.
– English Language Requirement: IBT TOEFL 70, IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 800, TOEFL ITP 550 and more.

Professor Sung In Lim from Department of Chemical Engineering, Pukyong National University is looking for one master student who has interest in protein engineering to develop protein-based drugs or drug delivery system, molecular biology, pharmacology, and basic immunology.
This two years master's degree program will be start from September 2019 (Fall Semester) with financial assistance.
Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering.
• Strong knowledge in the recombinant technology including molecular cloning, microbial cell culture, protein expression/purification, and analysis.
• Technical writing and communication skills in English.
The selected candidates must be able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced and hands-on laboratory environment.
