The PhD program "Advanced Optimization in a Networked Economy", funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG) and jointly hosted by the Schools of Management, Computer Science, and Mathematics at Technical University of Munich (TUM) offers several positions for PhD students starting in September 2020.

Students with a background in applied mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering, operations management, operations research, or a related field and a strong interest in interdisciplinary work will be offered a comprehensive study, training, and research program.A denoscription of some projects, participating researchers, and further information regarding the application process is available at www.gs.tum.de/adone/application
We expect a degree in Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field and experience with Operations Research methods. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.

• Copies of earned university degrees and trannoscripts of individual grades
• Writing sample (master thesis or seminar paper)
• Research proposal (about 2 pages) motivating your specific interest in "Advanced Optimization in the Networked Economy"

The Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at Virginia Tech is seeking outstanding candidates committed to undergraduate teaching. This position is for a non-tenure track collegiate faculty at the assistant professor level, effective August 2020. This position is an academic year (AY) position, with opportunity for summer compensation.
