DHS rule to restrict the duration of foreign students and other visas is still pending; Sen Chuck Grassley has sent a letter to the DHS requesting student visas to be cut off from applying for work visas, a good move.

For decades the U.S. has allowed migrants to walk free on bond, living amongst us, while waiting for their cases to be heard. Trump's admin is restricting that privilege, meaning the migrant detention population will grow without much chance of release.

In July, immigration judges released an avg of ‘100 migrants a day’ on bond. Trump has cut that number to 22/day by Aug & Sept.

Many migrants can't afford any legal help, so their choice is detention or deportation.
