- Bitcoin has seen a good move up since the last post, breaking above this key trendline resistance on the logarithmic chart at 10500$; most altcoins have suffered double-digit losses because of this. Given that we have broken this resistance, we can immediately anticipate a support/resistance flip, rendering 10,500$ as new support. We have indicated some key resistance that we think are achievable for btc in the coming weeks. Given this spike in BTC dominance, we would recommend remaining mostly in bitcoin for the time being as we are sitting at 64% exactly; as shown in our dominance chart, a recovery above 65% would be bearish for the altcoin market.

-ETH has seen a bullish engulfing close above our trendline resistance(white line) on the weekly chart; naturally, this can be perceived as very bullish. We have now pivoted(broke out) above our previous weekly high around 325$, indicating that some further potential upside is nearby. As shown in the chart, we have some immediate overhead resistance around 270$, however, given the current price momentum, we can expect to see ETH break through this with relative ease; a breakout above this level would furthermore encourage our bullish vision, likely sending ETH rallying towards our next anticipated resistance zone @600-700$ in the midterm. Given that we also have rising support at 270$ (green box), we can strongly recommend remaining long on ETH until further notice 😎

Hello all FatPig Members, Some people have been wondering about what "Defi" is all about lately, so we are here to give a basic explanation along with mentioning some protocols that we are bullish on.

-It's called Defi, short for decentralized finance—it's the notion that crypto entrepreneurs can recreate traditional financial instruments in a decentralized architecture, outside of companies' and governments' control... below are some sub-sectors within the Defi ecosystem

Borrow and Lend (e.g Aave-Compound): you can lend your crypto out and earn interest on it. Or maybe you need some money to pay the rent or buy groceries, but your funds are tied up in your crypto investments? You can deposit your crypto to the Compound smart contract as collateral, and borrow against it. The contract automatically matches borrowers and lenders and adjusts interest rates dynamically based on supply and demand.

Automated Token Exchange :(e.g Uniswap): Uniswap is a cryptocurrency exchange run entirely on smart contracts, letting you trade popular tokens directly from your wallet. This is different from an exchange like Coinbase, which stores your crypto for you and holds your private keys for safekeeping. Uniswap uses an innovative mechanism known as Automated Market Making to automatically settle trades near the market price. In addition to trading, any user can become a liquidity provider, by supplying crypto to the Uniswap contract and earning a share of the exchange fees. This is called “pooling”.

Prediction Markets : (e.g Augur): Augur is a decentralized prediction market protocol. With Augur, you can vote on the outcome of events, except you put ‘skin in the game’ by attaching a value to your vote. Prediction market platforms like Augur and Guesser are nascent but offer a view into a future where users can make better predictions by tapping into the wisdom of the crowd.

After seeing an incredible rise in the price of Bitcoin over the last few days, we have finally seen an aggressive, rapid correction. While this move may come across as abrupt, the charts are showing nothing out of the ordinary as we have bounced well from support region around 10350$. Currently, we are still quite bullish on bitcoin and can expect some slight consolidation before our next move up. As shown in the chart, we have formed some resistance at 12200$(local high) ; this would be our next pivot point to break to trigger our next leg up . Bitcoin seems to be following our trajectory quite well after finding some good support at 10500$ during that "flash crash" event a couple of days ago; We interpreted that move as a correction to liquidate overleveraged traders, however, we are currently still bullish on bitcoin and can expect another push forward in the short term. As shown in the chart, we have developed some resistance around 12000$, however, if we are to break this region we should be set to test 13000$ shortly afterwards.
