Im Jahr 2016 zwingt ein Mann seine Partnerin sexualisierte Handlungen mit ihm vorzunehmen, während er die Geschehnisse gleichzeitig filmt. Auf den Videos ist nicht zu erkennen, dass der Täter körperlichen Zwang ausübt oder die Frau sich physisch dagegen wehrt. Die Partnerin bringt jedoch mehrfach und deutlich ihr fehlendes Einverständnis zum Ausdruck. In der Folge erstattet sie Anzeige wegen Freiheitsberaubung (Art. 183 Abs. 1 StGB), Nötigung (Art. 181 StGB), Vergewaltigung (Art. 190 Abs. 1 StGB) und sexueller Nötigung (Art. 189 Abs. 1 StGB). Im Jahr 2018 spricht das Bezirksgericht Martigny und Saint-Maurice den Mann von diesen Anklagepunkten frei, verurteilt ihn jedoch wegen anderer Straftaten.
Das Urteil des Bezirksgerichtes wird im Februar 2021 vom Kantonsgericht des Kantons Wallis bestätigt. Es hält fest, dass sich in den Videos weder Gewalt noch Drohungen gegenüber der Betroffenen erkennen lassen.
Die Istanbul-Konvention verpflichtet die Schweiz das Prinzip des Einverständnis – welches freiwillig und als Ergebnis des freien Willens erteilt wird – in ihr Sexualstrafrecht aufzunehmen (Art. 36 Abs. 2 IK). Das Schweizer Gesetzgebung müsste demnach jeden Geschlechtsverkehr ohne freiwillige Zustimmung unter Strafe stellen

La violación en grupo de una chica de 23 años inflama la India
Four Indian men convicted of the gang rape and murder of a student in Delhi in 2012 have been hanged.
Six people were arrested for the attack. One of them, Ram Singh, was found dead in jail in March 2013, having apparently taken his own life.
Another, who was 17 at the time of the attack, was released in 2015 after serving three years in a reform facility - the maximum term possible for a juvenile in India.
Reacting to the massive protests, India announced new anti-rape laws in March 2013.
They prescribed harsher punishments for rapists and addressed new crimes, including stalking, acid throwing as well as spying on a woman when naked or circulating her pictures without her consent.
They also expanded the definition of rape to state that the absence of physical struggle didn't equal consent.

Four Indian men convicted of the gang rape and murder of a student in Delhi in 2012 have been hanged.
Six people were arrested for the attack. One of them, Ram Singh, was found dead in jail in March 2013, having apparently taken his own life.
Another, who was 17 at the time of the attack, was released in 2015 after serving three years in a reform facility - the maximum term possible for a juvenile in India.
Reacting to the massive protests, India announced new anti-rape laws in March 2013.
They prescribed harsher punishments for rapists and addressed new crimes, including stalking, acid throwing as well as spying on a woman when naked or circulating her pictures without her consent.
They also expanded the definition of rape to state that the absence of physical struggle didn't equal consent.
