This seems trivial to some of you, but it has to be said. Using a new username across the web is more important than you realize today.

Some months ago I was contacted by a guy that wanted to see what information was out there about him on the internet. He was not technically inclined and had informed that he had been using the same username for nearly a decade.

Given some free time I decided to humor the fellow. I took 10 minutes and ran his username through some basic searches which returned a plethora of information, but nothing very juicy at first.

After some digging I was able to locate his Photobucket account which he must have forgotten about some years ago. As it turns out he had again, used the same username.

What he didn’t account for was that he had been automatically uploading his photos there from both his phone and his scanner. He had scanned in very sensitive documents which revealed more information than I cared to know. I found everything from his marriage license to his unredacted tax filings from previous years.

I share this story because it highlights the importance not only of good infosec but also opsec. You don’t want to be that guy, so don’t be. If I can find this information easily and openly, so can our enemies.

So don’t make it easy for them. Be a thorn in their side. Make it plausible that you are not every unique username that you create. If you get really good at it you can switch VPN connections each time you throw on a new hat. Further validating the location aspect to forums that you frequent.

Stay safe out there. Hail victory!
Do not download brave, or chromium forks or firefox forks. Stick to normal firefox and harden it with
https://github.com/pyllyukko/user.js/

Forks are usually a change of settings which can be done yourself, are less frequently updated than major browsers, and have a much higher fingerprint so you stand out more.
Also when using a vpn, ensure your timezone matches your location. This raises less red flags. Forgetting to change your time can leak a good amount of where you are located.

You are being watched. There should be no confusion or doubt about this. Profiles are being made, records are being kept. They are attempting to identify you not only from the information you willingly share about yourself such as your frequently used profile picture and the username you may have used on several different platforms. But also the information you unknowingly share about yourself. Frequent spelling errors, the grammar you use, your punctuation practices.

There used to be a joke amongst the FBI who had infiltrated the KKK: "Four out of five Klan members are feds." The implication is that there were more undercover FBI/informants than actual Klan members. It's likely the same could be said about many of our groups and chats online.

But it's not just governments we need to worry about. NGOs, think tanks, individuals. Antifa, JIDF, ADL. All the usual suspects we all know about, they are the tip of the iceberg. Even more so are the people, organizations and groups we have never heard of, some with massive funding and far reaching capabilities. While most of these organizations do not have legal authority and there is no threat of arrest, we should all be aware of the risks of dissident politics.

Politics are a dangerous game, if not the most dangerous game. Protests turn to riots, lives are ruined, blood is shed, people arrested. Wars are fought, assassinations are attempted -- and sometimes successful. All over politics.

Our politics go against the status quo. We are a threat to the system. And because of that, we are a target of the system.

The NSIG is working diligently to provide knowledge to assist in safeguarding our people and arming you with information we hope you find useful.

Stay tuned - more soon to come
Using apps on your phone to spoof your location can be useful in tandem with a VPN, especially when both locations and your device's time match up.

Phones are inherently not private or secure, and troves of data are accessible for anyone with access to your device. However, removing your SIM card, utilizing a trustworthy VPN, and spoofing your device's location are all great ways to increase user privacy, especially if you have creepy apps like Snapchat or Facebook installed that blatantly spy on you. Getting rid of these datamining apps is ideal, but providing false information (disinfo) is the next best thing.
Most everyone has heard of Ross Ulbricht but not as many understand how he got caught running the first darknet market. Studying these errors can help you advance your own opsec.

If any of you are crazy enough to be going to the big setup in Virginia today make sure you leave your normie cell phone far far away.
There could be IMSI catchers present. These are gadgets that pretend to be cell towers. Your phone logs in to it and details are logged and forwarded to a real cell tower.
Regardless, your cell carrier will know you were there. If you don’t want it known, don’t take your phone. If you must have communications pick up a burner nearby and pitch it before you go home.
Hail Victory!

Given the latest Apple section 1.1.1 crackdowns on like minded Telegram accounts, I just want to remind everyone this is why we have created our onion service: http://goysecquje667cky.onion

Next, you can get around the Apple ban by using the web app for Telegram at https://web.telegram.org
We have been featured and practically endorsed by the New Delhi Times. The article which I had assumed would be a hit piece on evil white supremacist Nazis turned out to be a decent take on our group and what we’re trying to do.
I hope y'all arent using iOS (or preinstalled android for that matter) on your phone, but this should help you get all of your favourite spicy channels
