The owl represents Lagarde, president of the ECB.
Keep your I on the prize: keyword is ION here. Ion is a technology provider and took over Openlink in 2018.
ION/Openlink provides the Treasury Management system of the ECB.

THE SYMBOL GOLD
BG's riddles are never straightforward, they have a double bottom or even a tripple bottom meaning.
So gold doesn't mean actual gold. Gold symbolizes something else.
Gold is in this case a symbol for a treasure. In financial context it means Treasury Management.

THE SYMBOL OF THE SUN
The sun can be used as a symbol for a lot of things: gold, wealth, energy, summer, etc...
And it probably had multiple meanings in BG's riddles too (fe. Palau)
The one I'm focussing on here is SUN Microsystems.
SUN was bought up by Oracle in 2010.
One of the products of Oracle(SUN) is Oracle Corporate Treasury Management Software.

The keys symbolize the EU: 12 keys for 12 stars on the flag and 27 bits for the 27 countries.
I'll only focus on the essentials to make my point here. My other findings can be found on my Twitter page.
The hammer has a Celtic triskelion on it. The Scots are descendants of the Celts.
Bearableguy is also wearing a Scottish hat. (I misinterpreted it as a French hat initially)
The hat has 3 starry pumps on it. These are SPARCS (not Flare Sparks).
A Solaris SPARC is a server designed by SUN Microsystems.

ACTUAL CHRISTMAS RIDDLE
The green open box with the tiny yellow thing in it: Treasury Management as an eco-friendly cloud-solution
The bottle: Oracle solution (the sun) connecting EU to the BRICS countries (Perseverare).
The green color here also means eco-friendly, or BTC/Crypto, but this makes less sense.
Perseverare sounds like Latin, an old European language.
I could be mistaken, but I see a little figure in the bottleneck (could also be some wrapping), hence my statement: The ghost is almost out of the bottle.

So if all above is true, this will indeed be mind-blowing (if XRP is involved of course)
I'm not a financial expert (yeah, I know...) but in this scenario the ECB has already a bunch of pre-allocated XRP, and Lagarde will have saved the Euro from pending hyperinflation.

The star is peculiar with this little 'bulb' on the left shining-arm. There are colored dots in the clock (the clock itself is the Antikythera Mechanism - mirrored horizontally and vertically), the colored dots are the same color as the nails that are used for the socks but that could be coincidence. The hammer with the (h)ear(ing) hangs over the clock. Mirror the picture round the centre of the carrousel seems logical, not sure the result, BTC going the wrong direction and XRP (purple sock), StableCoins (green sock) the good direction (regulation)?
