Israeli Rabbi Says ‘Kill Everyone in Gaza, Including Babies’

Rabbi Eliyahu Mali and his Yeshiva are sponsored by Benjamin Netanyahu’s government

Rabbi Eliyahu Mali, head of the Shirat Moshe yeshiva (religious school) in the occupied city of Jaffa, called on the Israeli army to kill everyone in Gaza, including babies.

During a conference on 8 March, Mali said that “according to the halachic principle (a religious-ethical system of legal reasoning in Judaism), all residents of Gaza must be killed.”

When asked during the conference if babies should be killed as well, he said: “The same thing. You can't be clever with the Torah. Today he's a baby, tomorrow he's a fighter. There are no questions here. Today's terrorists were previously 8-year-old children.”

“Those who create the terrorists” should also be killed, he said in reference to women in Gaza.

Quds News Network: He referenced Jewish principles of war, stating, "The law - no soul shall live. If you don't kill them, they will kill you." When asked if babies were included, he responded, "Same, shoot them."

South Africa Urges ICJ for Emergency Order as Famine Looms Over Gaza

South Africa has petitioned the International Court of Justice to issue emergency orders aimed at halting Israeli military operations in Gaza that are causing a famine in the Strip. The ICJ has issued a preliminary ruling that Israel is plausibly conducting a genocide in Gaza.

On Wednesday, Pretoria charged Tel Aviv with intentionally starving children in its filing to the court. “Palestinian children are starving to death as a direct result of the deliberate acts and omissions of Israel – in violation of the Genocide Convention and of the court’s order,” the South African legal team explained.

Pretoria’s petition to the court added, “The situation then ‘perilous’ is now so terrifying as to be unspeakable.”

A multitude of international rights organizations have condemned Israel for blocking aid shipments to Gaza and say the policy is causing famine. According to health officials in Gaza, 20 Palestinians have starved to death already, although the figure is likely an undercount.

In addition to blocking aid shipments in Gaza, Israeli forces have attacked convoys bringing food to the Palestinians. Last week, Israeli soldiers opened fire on Palestinians as an aid convoy arrived in northern Gaza for the first time in a week. Over 100 people were killed in the slaughter.

In December, South Africa filed charges at the ICJ alleging Israeli forces are committing genocide in Gaza at the direction of the government in Tel Aviv. The court issued a preliminary ruling that the charges against Tel Aviv were plausible.

Dozens of Gazans Die in Israeli Detention

Tel Aviv has provided no details on how these Gazan prisoners lost their lives

At least 27 Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip have died in Israeli custody since the start of the war in October.

According to figures cited by Hebrew daily Haaretz on 7 March, they died at the Sde Teiman and Anatot detention centers in Israel “or during questioning in Israeli territory.”

The Israeli army’s spokesperson’s office said its military police has opened investigations into the deaths. The army has not given any details on how the Palestinian detainees lost their lives and claimed that some of them suffered from previous health issues or were injured during the war.

Tel Aviv has been holding Gazan prisoners in prison camps inside Israel since the war began.

A recently amended law allows detainees to be held for up to 75 days without seeing a judge.

The Hebrew outlet says some have been returned to Gaza, including most of the Gazans who had permits to work in Israel before the war.

However, at least one of the Gazans previously employed in Israel, “a diabetic, died there, after not receiving medical treatment,” a source told Haaretz.

The outlet had previously reported in December that Palestinian detainees in the Sde Teiman detention center were blindfolded and handcuffed during the day. It said many were beaten and punished, in line with the testimonies made by Gazans who later returned to the strip.

The army said at the time that it would investigate the matter.

Earlier this week, a UNRWA report said previously detained Gazans revealed that they were beaten, sexually assaulted, and denied medical attention and legal support during their detention.

The report said the detainees included males and females, including children as young as six and elderly as old as 82.

The U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees said some employees released into Gaza from Israeli detention reported having been pressured by Israeli authorities into falsely stating that the agency has Hamas links and that staff took part in the Oct. 7 attacks.

The assertions are contained in a report by the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reviewed by Reuters and dated February 2024 which detailed allegations of mistreatment in Israeli detention made by unidentified Palestinians, including several working for UNRWA.

Five people are killed by airdropped aid boxes because parachutes failed to open, highlighting the problem of getting desperately needed humanitarian relief into Gaza amid Israeli restrictions.

Palestinians say what they need is the US to stop giving weapons to Israel after President Joe Biden announced a plan to build a temporary pier on Gaza’s coastline to allow aid to enter. The plan has been criticised as “not realistic” and a “distraction”.

Leaked US Cable Acknowledges ‘Catastrophic’ Cost Of Israel’s Rafah Invasion

Israel has been threatening to invade Rafah for weeks, where over one million internally displaced Gazans have sought shelter

An internal cable leaked by The Intercept on 5 March shows the US is well aware of the humanitarian catastrophe that will take place if Israel proceeds with its plan to invade Rafah, which it claims to be Hamas' last stronghold.

An area of 62km squared, with over 1.5 million Palestinian civilians internally displaced and living in refugee camps, Rafah has come under increasing threats of an Israeli ground assault.

The potential invasion has come under international condemnation and has increased the rift between US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. [Doesn't stop Biden from continuing to arm and assist Israel.]

However, the US has continued to make weapons shipments to the Israeli army, including about a thousand MK-82 500-pound bombs and KMU-572 Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAM) each, despite the seeming eagerness of the Israeli state to invade the densely populated south of Gaza.

The leaked cable shows that the US acknowledges that the impact of such an invasion would be cataclysmic.

“A potential escalation of military operations within Southern Gaza’s Rafah Governorate could result in catastrophic humanitarian consequences, including mass civilian casualties, extensive population displacement, and the collapse of the existing humanitarian response, multiple relief actors have warned USAID’s Levant Disaster Assistance Response Team,” the cable written by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance reads.

Among the “key points” mentioned in the cable, an Israeli offensive in Rafah would “block the entry and transport of fuel and life-saving humanitarian assistance throughout the enclave,” further worsening the state of Palestinians who have already faced a near five-month-long siege by the Israeli army.

US Mulls Deploying Marine Security Team To Haiti Amid Gang Crisis

The United States is considering deploying an elite Marine security team to Haiti because of a deteriorating security situation there, according to a defense official.

The Marines would be deployed at the request of the State Department, according to the defense official. Marine Corps Times asked the State Department for further details Thursday and didn’t receive a response.

“Deploying a FAST platoon is one option at the DoD’s disposal should the DoS request assistance with security at the U.S. Embassy in Port Au Prince,” Maj. Mason Englehart, a spokesman for Marine Corps Forces South, wrote in an email to Marine Corps Times on Friday.

Haitian Prime Minister Ariel Henry is struggling to stay in power as he tries to return home, where gang attacks have shuttered his country’s main international airport and freed more than 4,000 inmates in recent days.

Henry remained in Puerto Rico as of midday Wednesday. He landed in the U.S. territory on Tuesday after he was barred from landing in the neighboring Dominican Republic, where officials closed the airspace to flights to and from Haiti.

WEF Complains About “Disinformation,” Calls for a “Concerted Effort” Against It From Government and Tech Companies

The group is also supporting the EU's online censorship law.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) continues its vocal “anti-disinformation” campaign, urging governments, media, tech companies and civil society to all join in.

WEF’s apparent rationale is that “disinformation” is a threat to “our ecosystem” and wants “experts” to explain how to “curb it.” (Pity WEF hasn’t asked some experts to first define disinformation – and explain how to arrive at a broad consensus in society and politics about that definition).

Instead, the informal group representing global elites is giving a nod to the EU and its EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA), some of the key components of which are making critics call it “the censorship law.”

A post on the WEF site blames digital technology and what it calls “fragmented media ecosystem” for the supposedly unprecedented amounts of disinformation. Some AI fear mongering is peppered in – that’s these days par for the course.

And it isn’t the old media undermining its own standing, trust-wise, by readily “coordinating” with governments and engaging in biased reporting and censorship, that’s to blame for the steady erosion of trust not just in legacy media, but in those institutions as well.

No – the WEF’s narrative is nothing if not consistent. The reason, it insists, MUST be “disinformation.” And for the media to be trusted again, a society-wide “war on misinformation” needs to be taking place.

Report: Federal Government Asked Big Banks to Surveil Purchases of VPNs and Gift Cards, Transfers to Crowdsourcing Sites

New documents pull back the curtain on the federal government's shocking push for mass financial surveillance that reportedly targeted millions of Americans.

In January, the House Judiciary Committee sounded the alarm about the federal government asking banks to surveil transactions related to certain keywords, such as “MAGA” and “Trump,” as part of investigations into January 6, 2021 at the Capitol. But new documents obtained by the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government have revealed that the surveillance that was initially identified by the House Judiciary Committee in January was much broader than these early reports suggested.

The House Judiciary Committee’s initial letter about this financial surveillance revealed that the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) sent several financial institutions lists of terms that it deemed to be indicators of potential violent extremism and suggested that banks use these search terms to flag suspect transactions. These lists included terms such as MAGA and Trump and also recommended searching for more generic terms, such as terms related to purchases of transportation and terms related to purchases of books (including religious texts) and other media that FinCEN deemed to be “extremist.”

These new documents, which were shared in a report noscriptd “Financial Surveillance in the United States: How Federal Law Enforcement Commandeered Financial Institutions to Spy on Americans,” show that the list of terms FinCEN asked banks and financial institutions to flag was much wider.

In one document, FinCEN brands lawful activities, such as “frequent ATM withdrawals and wire transfers with no apparent economic or business purpose” and “purchases that appear excessive or unusual for hobbyist or other legitimate use,” as potential indicators of violent extremism.

In another document, FinCEN brands purchases of privacy-preserving tools, such as virtual private networks (VPNs), “counter-surveillance equipment,” or “secure communications equipment,” as potential “red flags” for “active shooter detection.”

Biden: Netanyahu ‘Hurting Israel’ By Not Preventing More Civilian Deaths in Gaza

President Joe Biden said Saturday that he believes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is “hurting Israel more than helping Israel” in how he is approaching its war against Hamas in Gaza.

The U.S. leader expressed support for Israel’s right to pursue Hamas after the Oct. 7 attack, but said of Netanyahu that “he must pay more attention to the innocent lives being lost as a consequence of the actions taken.” Biden has for months warned that Israel risks losing international support over mounting civilian casualties in Gaza, and the latest remarks in an interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart pointed to the increasingly strained relationship between the two leaders.

Biden said of the death toll in Gaza, “it’s contrary to what Israel stands for. And I think it’s a big mistake.”

Biden said a potential Israeli invasion of the Gaza city of Rafah, where more than 1.3 million Palestinians are sheltering, is “a red line” for him, but said he would not cut off weapons like the Iron Dome missile interceptors which protect the Israeli civilian populace from rocket attacks in the region.

“It is a red line,” he said, when asked about Rafah, “but I’m never going to leave Israel. The defense of Israel is still critical, so there’s no red line I’m going to cut off all weapons so they don’t have the Iron Dome to protect them.”

....The U.S. leader had hoped to secure a temporary ceasefire before Ramadan begins next week, though that appears increasingly unlikely...

....Biden noted CIA Director Bill Burns is in the region currently trying to resurrect the deal.

Biden’s comments came after he was captured on a hot mic following Thursday night’s State of the Union address telling Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo. that he and the Israeli leader will need to have a “come to Jesus meeting.”

....Biden then responds using Netanyahu’s nickname, saying, “I told him, Bibi, and don’t repeat this, but you and I are going to have a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting.”

An aide to the president standing nearby then speaks quietly into the president’s ear, appearing to alert Biden that microphones remained on as he worked the room.

“I’m on a hot mic here,” Biden says after being alerted. “Good. That’s good.”

Jen Psaki, Ex-Biden Press Secretary Who Boasted About Facebook Speech Flagging, To Host First Amendment Awards

Exploring the irony of Jen Psaki's role amid allegations of government-directed censorship.

The US Constitution’s First Amendment has become a very hot topic over the last years, considering that its goal is to protect citizens’ right to free speech.

Coincidence?

Either way – serious issues connected to this pivotal piece of democratic legislation have now reached the Supreme Court in several cases, alleging one form or another of government-orchestrated censorship campaigns.

Fast forward to, adding insult to injury: one of the government officials who managed to stand out in this Big Tech/Big Government “Big Collusion ” – Jen Psaki, a former White House press secretary – is back for the annual First Amendment Awards.

Of all things.

Psaki will be the ceremony’s MC – just, many will attest, as she was not long ago – in 2021, the Biden administration’s “censorship collusion” MC.

There is no shortage of symbolism here but it’s not at all certain that they work in organizers’ favor; the awards will be held tonight at the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC.

Whereas, the said organizer, Radio Television Digital News Foundation (RTDNA) group announced it is “delighted” to have Psaki “honor 13 individuals and organizations for their efforts to promote, protect, and defend the First Amendment.”

Since leaving the administration, Psaki has found her new professional home as an MSNBC host – an entirely unsurprising pairing.

WCH Publishes First Legal Brief: Preventing the Abuse of Human Rights During Public Health Emergencies

During the Covid-19 period, unlawful, pseudo-legal emergency regulations breached the fundamental human rights of billions of people globally.

Many consider Covid-19 to have been a worldwide ‘Trojan Horse’ event that enabled human rights and freedoms to be trampled, dangerous medical interventions to be normalised, and an unprecedented transfer of wealth to take place from ordinary people to the super-rich. There is deep concern too that this was just a trial run, and that the immanent promulgation of the World Health Organization’s ‘Pandemic Treaty’ and amended International Health Regulations will take these tyrannical measures to an entirely different level.

In response to these concerns, the World Council for Health has published a Legal Brief on Preventing the Abuse of Public Health Emergencies. This document explains how governments used the declaration of an unjustifiable state of emergency as a legal instrument to deny people their basic human rights and freedoms and to grant themselves extraordinary powers.

I spoke in support of, and voted for, Rep. Hageman’s bill to bring much needed transparency to civil asset forfeiture practices in the U.S.

As implemented today, civil asset forfeiture is unconstitutional and needs to be reformed or repealed.
