As part of the effort to form prosperous economic alliances, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has shown interest in joining China’s Shanghai Cooperation Council (SCO) and is set to attend the bloc’s meeting in Kazakhstan next week.

UN Rapporteur: ‘No Other Term but Genocide Can Be Used To Express Gaza Situation’

United Nations (UN) Rapporteur on the right to health Tlaleng Mofokeng expressed on Friday: “When you have a group of people who have literally been exterminated, what else is there to declare it a genocide.”

Mofokeng added in a statement reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of her participation in the 56th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva: “We know that people are trying to survive, but that’s really all they can do,” adding that there is no food, safe drinking water, and safe housing.

She noted that Gazans’ psychological health has deteriorated and stated that they are suffering from severe trauma as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombing.

Mofokeng said that information about the recent status of health facilities in Gaza still comes from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other relief organisations in this field.

“When they (hospitals) cannot get supplies and essential medicines, and when healthcare workers themselves are being killed and harassed, it makes the attacks on the right to health even more prominent,” she stated.

The rapporteur stressed that there is still no estimate regarding how long it will take to rebuild Gaza’s health infrastructure.

Mofokeng asserted the importance of a global discussion on recognising the events in Gaza as “genocide” and holding the perpetrators accountable in international courts.

Aliens May be Living Among Us Disguised as Humans, Harvard Researchers Claim

A paper written by research scientists at Harvard University suggests aliens could be living underground or on the moon, or even walking among us and posing as humans.

The paper, which has not been peer-reviewed, looks at a newer, "unconventional" theory called "cryptoterrestrial" hypothesis. The paper was written by researchers with Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program, but a note at the top of the report called it a "speculative thought piece" and emphasized it’s not affiliated with the program at Harvard.

"We would also like to emphasize that we believe this hypothesis to be in all likelihood false, but nevertheless believe it still merits scientific investigation," the paper states.

What is the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis?
According to the paper, scientific discussion around unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), the official government term for UFOs, has been dominated by two main classifications: human technology (conventional terrestrial origin) or extraterrestrial origin (civilizations arriving from somewhere other than Earth).

Researchers have since considered a more unorthodox set of theories, the "ultraterrestrial" hypothesis. Included in this subset of theories is the cryptoterrestrial hypothesis, which explores the possibility of non-human intelligence living among us, either concealed underground, underwater or disguising themselves as humans.

Neo-Nazi Azov Battalion Profile Quietly Removed From Stanford Extremist Group List

Stanford University's Mapping Militants Project (MMP) removed the Azov Battalion from its list of extremist groups just a month before the State Dept authorized US weapons shipments to the neo-Nazi Ukrainian army regiment

MMP appears to guide US policy

The government-funded research project’s mysterious removal of Azov’s profile was followed by a State Department decision to allow the controversial right-wing unit to receive U.S. military aid.

Stanford University’s Mapping Militants Project (MMP), a U.S. government-funded initiative that conducts research on “violent militant or extremist organizations,” quietly removed their profile on the Azov Battalion early last month. The Azov Battalion (now known as the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov”) is a Ukrainian National Guard unit infamous for its use of neo-Nazi insignia, recruitment of far-right foreign fighters, and alleged war crimes. The Stanford MMP’s mysterious removal of its Azov profile was followed about a month later by the U.S. State Department lifting its ban on military assistance to the unit, raising questions about the motives behind removal of the webpage.

MMP’s removal of Azov is significant in that it could be used to guide U.S. foreign policy. Though MMP was created and has operated with funding from the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the papers written by its researchers are cited in academic research, reports and testimony to Congress, government–funded institutions and initiatives, and federal agencies. The website functions as an authoritative source for information on militant and extremist groups, and their interactions and connections over time. At the very least, Azov’s removal means MMP’s list no longer contradicts the State Department’s decision allowing U.S. military assistance to the group, and therefore cannot be used to criticize it.
