I know shit about the anime and it's story personally it's like lord of the rings for me I never watched it but I've absorbed enough info to give you this abridged version of atleast the main timeline and a few offshoots
And my favorite offshoot is G fighter because there's alot of really cool moments and mechs in it but what I like more is that during it there's a world tournament and each country got a gundam that represents them
Like this is the US gundam the gundam Maxter! Modeled off of a football player and when it sheds it's armor it uses its shoulder pads as gloves for boxing!
