One of the worst, the ugliest, of Canada's legacy media, the CBC, smeared me (from the comfort of their workplace in Canada) last year over my reporting from on the ground in the Donbass (2019-2023), under Ukraine's bombs.

In their smear, they drew directly from Ukraine's kill list entry on me.

Still another body of Canadian legacy media, La Presse, smeared me in 2017 for my reporting from on the ground in Syria (2014-2021).

Unsurprisingly, they also whitewashed al-Qaeda & co-terrorists in Syria, downplayed their crimes against the Syrian people and murder of Syrian civilians, lauded their propaganda group—the White Helmets—and maintained the NATO narrative on Syria.

As I noted in my response to the CBC shoddy smear, author Maximilian Forte aptly wrote:

“Regime media may call themselves “news media,” but there is next to no actual journalism involved in their work. In that spirit, students at contemporary Canadian schools of “journalism” are in fact being trained in the methods of policing restive subjects with “unacceptable views”. Embracing “advocacy,” they have degenerated into mere practitioners of propaganda whose ultimate aim is the reproduction of the ideas of the ruling faction of the regime.

Regime media’s public noscripts involve a regression to some of the most outmoded forms of propaganda seen since World War I. Their work involves a classically crude command structure: they tell people what to think, plain and simple. Then they tell people what to think about, and here the agenda-setting is particularly exclusive…”


Glad to see the general public is finally starting to wake up to the 💩stench of legacy media.
