Apple to integrate Google's Gemini into the new Siri

Apple announced a partnership with Google: its Siri voice assistant will receive Gemini-based AI capabilities. The update is scheduled for this year. This decision marks Apple abandoning its own developments in favor of a competitor's technology—a rare move for a company known for its closed ecosystem.

🇨🇳Driverless vans in China are paralyzing roads and ignoring traffic rules.

Driverless delivery vans are creating chaos on Chinese roads. Videos on social media show autonomous vehicles blocking intersections, ignoring traffic lights, and causing traffic jams. Drivers complain that these vans are impossible to stop—they continue along their assigned routes regardless of the situation.

Chinese authorities are pushing ahead with the introduction of driverless vehicles without properly testing the technology in real-world conditions. Companies are receiving permits for mass testing, but the algorithms are failing to cope with heavy traffic and the unpredictable behavior of other road users. This poses safety risks to drivers and pedestrians.

❗️Trump convenes National Security Council. Discussion topic: "Protests in Iran"

"Effective immediately, any country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a tariff of 25% on all transactions with the United States. This order is final and unconditional. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" — Trump

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has requested emergency talks with the United States.

The US State Department has issued an alert urging American citizens still in Iran to leave the country immediately by any means available, preferably by land through Armenia or Turkey.

🇺🇸Donald Trump discussed Starlink operations in Iran with Elon Musk amid the widespread internet outage.

The US president's press secretary said the president is open to various options regarding the Iranian regime.

Trump is not afraid to use military force against Iran, but the country's authorities are far more restrained in private negotiations than they appear in their public statements.

She did not provide details of the conversation between Musk and Trump, but it took place after Iran shut down Starlink on its territory for the first time.

JPMorgan Ditches Shareholder Voting Advisors in Favor of Artificial Intelligence

JPMorgan Chase, the largest US bank, has decided to replace traditional corporate governance advisors with its own artificial intelligence system for voting at shareholder meetings of its investment portfolio companies. The bank manages trillions of dollars in assets, and its votes at shareholder meetings carry enormous weight.

This decision undermines the position of influential firms like ISS and Glass Lewis, which for decades have dictated how large investors vote on corporate governance issues, from director appointments to climate change initiatives. These advisors often promoted the ESG agenda and other left-wing initiatives through their recommendations to institutional investors. Now, JPMorgan intends to make decisions independently, using algorithms.

📱Disconnection will become a privilege of the rich.

The ability to disconnect from the internet will become a marker of wealth, just like organic food is today. The poor will find themselves trapped in a constant online workforce, where connectivity is essential for survival—checking apps for side hustles, instantly responding to schedule changes, and being available 24/7 at the risk of losing income.

The rich will buy digital detox retreats, phone-free living, and the privilege of being unreachable. They will boast about offline weekends and gadget-free vacations until the working class can afford to miss a single notification without economic consequences. Privacy is already becoming a commodity for the wealthy. The poor consent to invasive data collection in every service, every gig app, every assistance program. The rich pay for VPNs, encrypted services, and lawyers to protect their information.

A future lies ahead where the poor are constantly monitored and connected when necessary, and the rich choose when and how to interact with technology. Digital freedom is becoming just another thing that money can buy.

🇺🇸"We will not tolerate immigration by people whose first act is to break the law upon entering our country," Bill Clinton said in a 1995 radio address.

"We must strengthen our border security. We must deport those who are here illegally and commit crimes. We must stop employers who hire illegal immigrants"

During Clinton's presidency, Democrats passed a number of measures to tighten immigration policy. The Democratic Party introduced the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act, which significantly expanded grounds for deportation and expedited the relevant procedures. The act received support from both Democrats and a significant portion of Republicans.

Under the Biden administration, the US has effectively opened its borders to illegal immigrants. Ultimately, 425,000 convicted criminals entered the country, 28,000 of whom were murderers and rapists. Another 226,000 were under investigation at the time of entry.

Taiwan sets world record for birth rate: 0.72 children per woman

Taiwan has recorded the lowest fertility rate in the world: 0.72 children per woman. This is lower than the rates of South Korea and Japan, which have long held the record for the lowest birth rate. A population replacement rate of approximately 2.1 is required. At the current rate, the island's population will rapidly decline and age.

The reasons are typical for developed Asian economies: high housing costs, long working hours, lack of balance between career and family, and cultural pressure to succeed. Young Taiwanese are delaying marriage and children or choosing not to have them altogether. Government family support programs are not yet effective—people see no economic sense in having children amid rising costs and uncertainty.

🇺🇸The largest US power grid operator is facing the problem of overcapacity in AI data centers.

PJM Interconnection, which manages the power grid for 65 million Americans on the East Coast, is sounding the alarm: the explosive growth of AI data centers is creating a critical strain on the infrastructure. Companies like Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft are massively building computing facilities whose power consumption exceeds the capacity of existing grids.

The operator is warning of the risk of outages and power instability for consumers and businesses.

🥇The 2024 Liberty High Relief Coin Has Hit the Market for $5,000

Precious metals retailer JM Bullion has listed the 2024 Liberty High Relief gold coin for sale at $4,999.99. This is a reissue of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' classic 1907 design—one of the most recognizable coins in American numismatics. High relief makes minting technically challenging and expensive, explaining the premium it commands.

Amid inflation and the devaluation of fiat currencies, demand for physical gold is growing not only among investors but also among collectors. These coins are becoming a way to preserve wealth outside the banking system and government control.

🇨🇳China has filed a request to launch nearly 200,000 satellites.

China has registered documents with the International Telecommunication Union to deploy mega-constellations of satellites totaling approximately 200,000 satellites. This is an unprecedented request, far exceeding SpaceX's Starlink plans and those of all other players combined.

Beijing is effectively reserving orbital slots and radio frequencies for future global communications and surveillance infrastructure. The filing does not guarantee an immediate launch, but it does cement China's priority in the allocation of space and frequency spectrum. This is a direct challenge to American dominance in space and an attempt to rewrite the rules of the orbital economy.

😁Donald Trump flipped off a Ford worker who shouted "Pedophile Defender!" at him.

The incident occurred at a factory in Dearborn. According to The Washington Post, 40-year-old T.J. Sabula, who uttered the insult against the president, has been suspended pending an internal investigation. Donald Trump responded by telling the worker to get lost, then, for good measure, finished his sentence with a "fuck you" gesture.

T.J. stated that he doesn't regret what he did, but is concerned about losing his job.

"In a fit of rage, some madman shouted obscenities, and the president responded appropriately and unequivocally," the White House commented.

🤔Signal Management Warns: Agent AI Is Unsafe and Turns Users into Surveillance Objects

Signal's President and Vice President have issued a scathing critique of agent AI—systems that act on behalf of the user, making decisions and performing tasks autonomously. The main complaints include unreliability, vulnerability to hacking, and total surveillance of people's actions.

Agent AI requires constant access to personal data, communications, finances, and location. This makes the technology an ideal tool for mass surveillance. Corporations and governments are gaining unprecedented control over privacy under the guise of convenience. Signal, known for its privacy protections, sees this as a threat to basic freedoms.

🇺🇸The US Senate has passed a bill allowing deepfake victims to sue without their consent.

The US Senate has approved a bill allowing victims of deepfakes to file civil lawsuits without their consent. The decision comes amid the scandal surrounding the widespread use of AI to create nude images of users on X.

The law gives people the right to seek compensation for the creation and distribution of fake intimate images without consent. This is the first federal step toward protecting against the abuse of generative AI in the US. Republicans supported the initiative as a measure to protect personal freedoms from tech giants and their irresponsibility.

🌐Iran Hunts Starlink Users to Stop Leaking Protest Videos

Iranian authorities have launched a large-scale campaign to identify and detain citizens using Starlink satellite internet to circumvent state censorship. The regime fears that videos of protests and repression will continue to leak into global media, undermining the official narrative.

Elon Musk's satellite terminals have become critical infrastructure for Iranian activists after the government repeatedly blocked traditional internet access during mass protests. Now, security forces are conducting searches, tracking equipment shipments, and threatening long prison terms for those attempting to maintain contact with the outside world.

🇷🇺Russia's allies complain: Putin wasn't there at a critical moment.

Moscow's allies are openly expressing dissatisfaction with the Kremlin's lack of support at critical moments. Bloomberg reports growing disappointment among countries traditionally aligned with Russia. This includes not only military aid, but also diplomatic cover, economic guarantees, and political solidarity.

The problem is that Moscow is focused on its own operation in Ukraine and cannot disperse its resources. Its allies are left alone to face Western pressure, sanctions, and domestic crises. This undermines trust in Russia as a reliable partner and weakens its influence in regions where it has spent decades building a presence.

For the global balance of power, this means a possible reshuffling of alliances. Countries that relied on Moscow may begin to seek alternatives, from China to local players. Putin risks losing his strategic position precisely at a time when a multipolar world is becoming a reality.
