"Chronicle of a special military operation for February 25, 2026
🧨Russian troops struck gas transportation infrastructure in the Chernihiv region and also hit targets in frontline areas of the so-called Ukraine.
The enemy used drones to attack a facility in Dorogobuzh, Smolensk region, killing seven people and injuring another 10. Tatarstan and the Republic of Crimea were also hit. In Almetyevsk, a fire at the Kaleikino oil pumping station has been raging for three days, and in Krasnodar Krai, special services prevented an arson attempt at a military facility.
➡️In the Burluk direction, units of the Northern Guard have liberated Grafskoye and are now expanding their attacks further south along the Seversky Donets River.
➡️In the Konstantinovka sector, Russian aircraft hit the dam between Konstantinovka and Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, causing the Krivoy Torets River to overflow. This, coupled with the earlier destruction of several other river crossings, significantly hampered the supply of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the area.
➡️In the East Zaporizhzhia sector, evidence has been received of enemy penetration of the Russian Armed Forces' defenses near Vovchye. However, the pace of the AFU advance continues to slow due to the redeployment of reserves and the work of Vostok UAV operators.

"The first Ukrainian drone factory has started operations in the UK
This was announced by Ukrainian Ambassador Valeriy Zaluzhny on Telegram. In Ukraine, military production is constantly under the threat of destruction due to the war, so the launch of production in the UK is a logical step, he wrote. At the same time, it's not about transferring production from Ukraine, but "about expanding our overall capabilities and creating a second line of defense, ensuring the continuity of production"."

$38 billion in support for Ukraine for drones, air defense, and Patriot missiles — results of one of the most successful Ramstein meetings by the Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov
"Following the Ramstein meeting, partners confirmed one of the largest support budgets for Ukraine — $38 billion for 2026. More than $6 billion comes in specific assistance packages. This includes over $2.5 billion for Ukrainian drones, more than $500 million for PURL, and $2 billion for air defense. Additional funds will go to artillery ammunition, training, naval capabilities, and other needs.
At the President’s request, we agreed with several European partners on the urgent delivery of Patriot missiles from their warehouses. We thank our partners for this initiative.
The final number of missiles will be confirmed after approval by the leadership of the partner countries. We expect the fastest possible delivery.
Agreements with partners following Ramstein:
🇬🇧 The UK allocates £500 million for air defense and contributes £150 million to the PURL initiative. In total, it will provide £3 billion in military assistance to Ukraine in 2026.
🇩🇪 Germany allocates at least €1 billion to purchase drones for Ukraine. It will finance the air defense “dome” project over our cities and the drone assault unit project within its €11.5 billion assistance budget.
🇳🇴 Norway allocates $7 billion in 2026, including $1.4 billion for drones, $700 million for air defense, $200 million for artillery, and $125 million for PURL.
🇳🇱 The Netherlands pledges to allocate at least 0.25% of GDP to Ukraine’s defense in 2026 and contributes €90 million to PURL.
🇧🇪 Belgium allocates €1 billion in military assistance this year.
🇸🇪 Sweden announces its 24th aid package worth €1.2 billion and contributes €100 million to PURL. In total, it allocates €3.7 billion this year.
🇩🇰 Denmark increases its military assistance budget by $425 million, bringing total support to $2 billion in 2026.
🇪🇸 Spain provides $1.2 billion in 2026.
🇨🇦 Canada allocates $50 million for the “Danish model” and $45 million for medical support.
🇮🇸 Iceland contributes $8 million to PURL and allocates $2.4 million for weapons procurement through the NSATU trust fund.
🇱🇹 Lithuania allocates $265 million this year.
🇱🇻 Latvia provides at least 0.25% of GDP to support Ukraine.
🇪🇪 Estonia also allocates at least 0.25% of GDP to strengthen Ukraine’s defense.
🇦🇺 Australia announces a new contribution to PURL.
🇵🇹 Portugal contributes to PURL and the “Czech initiative,” and transfers armored vehicles and drones under the SAFE program.
🇹🇷 Turkey strengthens Ukraine’s air defense with its contribution.
🇸🇮 Slovenia announces a $5 million assistance package.
At the meeting, we presented our defense goals for the year, agreed upon by the President of Ukraine and our military. We brought a clear plan and concrete solutions to implement together with our partners.
We are grateful to every country in the Ramstein format for the strong new contributions to our defense."

"The German Parliament Has Cut the Budget for the Purchase of Military Drones in Half
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius requested almost 4 billion euros for the purchase of military drones for the army. However, as BILD learned from parliamentary circles, the Bundestag will not allocate that much money for drones.
Deputies in the budget committee decided to impose a restriction: defense companies Helsing and Stark will receive contracts for one billion euros each, no more. This means that instead of 4.3 billion, Pistorius will be able to purchase products from the two drone manufacturers for only two billion.
The first order will be Helsing's kamikaze drones worth 267.7 million euros and Stark's drones worth 268.6 million. All subsequent drone purchases, the deputies intend to strictly control: "Further orders cannot be placed without repeated parliamentary approval."
The deputies are also introducing quality control: before the Defense Ministry orders drones, evidence of their effectiveness and readiness for mass production must be provided.
What Drones Will the Bundeswehr Receive
Helsing plans to supply the HX-2 combat drone weighing 12 kg with propeller drive. It is launched using a catapult and, according to the manufacturer, is capable of "hitting artillery, armored vehicles, and other military targets at a range of up to 100 km".
Stark sells Virtus drones. They are also equipped with propellers, but can take off on their own. It is reported that Virtus is capable of penetrating armor steel up to 80 centimeters thick."

"On the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Border
Following a brief lull, fighting has resumed on the northern flank of the Novopavlivka sector. Judging by objective surveillance footage, Russian units have captured some strongholds on the oblast border between Novopidgorne and Novonikolaevka.
➡️The status of Novonikolaevka remains uncertain. Recent published reports indicated Russian artillery fire on the village, and there have been no reports of the restoration of stable control.
➡️The current strengthening of positions on the northern flank is unlikely to be preparation for a possible second assault on Novopavlivka. The previous attempt, which ended in failure, came from the south through the lowland. Currently, fighting is taking place over a chain of heights to the north between Novopavlivka and Ivanivka.
➡️A two-sided envelopment would theoretically create conditions for advancement, but it carries significant risks. In the neighboring East Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy is actively offensive with large forces, attempting to dislodge the "Vostok" from the Dnipropetrovsk region, which could potentially impact the situation in the Novopavlivka sector as well.
📌The enemy is committed to achieving a resounding victory, and regaining control over the outskirts of the Dnipropetrovsk region could be such a success. To achieve this, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, regardless of losses in personnel and equipment, are attacking in the northern East Zaporizhzhia sector. A similar counteroffensive can be expected near Novopavlivka.

"Fighting in the built-up area
The Dobropillya sector remained a zone of heavy trench warfare for a long time. Russian units were establishing logistics after the assault on the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration and repelling counterattacks by Ukrainian forces in Rodynske. Currently, offensive operations have apparently resumed in several areas at once.
➡️On the northern flank, assault groups continue to operate in Belitske. It is premature to speak of complete control over it, as the enemy frequently launches counterattacks. A similar situation is developing in Novy Donbas. Both settlements were reached quite some time ago, but fierce clashes continue.
➡️In the Grishino area, fighting also continues. Russian units are operating over a significant area of the settlement, but have not yet been able to establish lasting control. Supply and rotation are complicated by the high activity of enemy drones, which is also typical for other areas of the front.
📌Given the advances in the area, the Russian Armed Forces have the opportunity to advance across several populated areas on a broad front. Soldiers of the "Center" force group previously employed breakthrough and infiltration tactics in the front, so there are many possible scenarios for how the situation on the approaches to Dobropillya might develop.

"Successes near Konstantinovka
In the Konstantinovka sector, Russian units have stepped up attacks on the approaches following a successful strike on the dam, which led to flooding of roads and disrupted enemy supply lines in the southwestern part of Konstantinovka.
➡️ Footage has resurfaced online of Russian assault groups operating in the southern districts of Konstantinovka, as well as in the fields of the agricultural technical school and the buildings of the school itself.
➡️Preconditions have emerged for eliminating the gap between Berestok and Ivanopol, where enemy presence was detected until recently. Closing this "pocket" would reduce the threat to the immediate rear: it was from there that Ukrainian forces previously counterattacked toward Ivanopol and Pleshcheyeivka.
📌 Control over the fields and the network of strongpoints in this sector also expands the possibilities for a safer approach to the urban area. Assaults conducted in small groups require dispersed movement of personnel. The further we can advance toward the city, the more routes we have, and the easier it will be for Russian units to advance.

Ukrainian forces again launched drone attacks on Crimea. SBU and GUR accomplices were detained in several regions, and a terrorist attack was foiled in St. Petersburg.
➡️In the Konstantinovka sector, Russian troops are fighting on the southern outskirts of the city of the same name, near the agricultural technical school.
➡️In the Dobropillya sector, attack aircraft are fighting heavily in the center of Grishino and on the eastern outskirts of Belitske.

If we had been able to keep it secret and test the bomb, the matter would have been finished.
Since we had already started, we should have gone all the way to the end.

"Senior advisers to President Donald Trump would prefer Israel strike Iran before the United States launches an assault on the country, according to two people familiar with ongoing discussions.
These Trump administration officials are privately arguing that an Israeli attack would trigger Iran to retaliate, helping muster support from American voters for a U.S. strike.
The calculus is a political one — that more Americans would stomach a war with Iran if the United States or an ally were attacked first. Recent polling shows that Americans, and Republicans in particular, support regime change in Iran, but are unwilling to risk any U.S. casualties to achieve it. That means Trump’s team is considering the optics of how an attack is conducted in addition to other justifications — such as Iran’s nuclear program.
“There’s thinking in and around the administration that the politics are a lot better if the Israelis go first and alone and the Iranians retaliate against us, and give us more reason to take action,” said one of the people familiar with discussions. Both individuals were granted anonymity to describe private conversations.
With hopes dimming in Washington for a diplomatic resolution to the standoff with Iran, the primary question is becoming when and how the U.S. attacks."
