In God I trust
Me: Dear God, may I ask you a question for once?
God: Sure.
Me: Promise me you won't get mad?
God: I promise.
Me: Why have you disappointed me so many times today?
God: What exactly do you mean?
Me: Well, I woke up too late!
God: Yes.
Me: My car kept not starting.
God: Okay.
Me: At lunch they made my sandwich wrong and I had to wait for the second sandwich - I hate waiting.
God: Huummm
Me: When I was on my way home, my cell phone broke, right when I was getting a call.
God: All right.
Me: And on top of everything, when I got home to put my feet in my new foot massager to enjoy and relax. But the device just wasn't working!
Nothing was working properly or well today! Why did you let that happen?
God: let me see...
The angel of death was at your bedside this morning and I sent my angel to you to fight for your life. And left you sleeping in the meantime...
Me (humbly): Oh!
God: Then I allowed your car not to start because a drunk driver was on the road exactly on your route and then you didn't meet him because you were driving later.
Me: (ashamed)
God: the first person who made your sandwich today was sick and I didn't want you to get the sickness she had. I knew you couldn't afford to get sick and not come to work.
Me (embarrassed): Okay
God: the phone was broken because the person who called you would give false testimony about what you would have said. And I just didn't want people to falsify what you said, so I didn't let the conversation happen in the first place.
Me (softly): I see, Dear God.
God: Oh, and the foot massager had a technical defect and would have blown all the fuses in the house. I thought you'd rather not sit in the dark all evening.
Me: I'm sorry, Dear God.
God: Don't be sorry - you just need to learn to trust in me... in all things, whether they go well or badly.
Me: I will trust you.
God: And don't doubt that my plan for the day is always better than your plan.
Me: I will not doubt, Dear God. And let me say one more thing, Dear God - thank you for everything today!
God: You are welcome, my child. It was just another day that I am your God - and I love to check on my children!

WASHINGTON – The Senate approved legislation Thursday to extend funding for the federal government through Dec. 3, but the bill needs House approval to avert a shutdown at midnight.
The 65-35 vote sent the bill to the lower chamber, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said lawmakers would approve it and send it to President Joe Biden for his signature.

Something To Start Your Day With
A professor gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professor then mixed all the balloons. The students were then given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.
At that point, the professor told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
The professor said to the students: "These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."
