Russia stops gas supplies to Finland

Russia has halted natural gas supplies to Finland after state energy wholesaler Gasum failed to make a required payment in rubles, Finnish gas grid operator Gasgrid Finland said in a statement on Saturday.

"The import of gas through the Imatra entry point has been stopped," the statement said.

Russian energy giant Gazprom has confirmed the complete cessation of gas supplies to the country.
