We would like to share one of our scientific articles summary published In the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
The “Novel Efficient Multistage Lead Optimization Pipeline Experimentally Validated for DYRK1B Selective Inhibitors” is dedicated to in silico Drug Design methods. It describes the novel pipeline developed by the Quantori team.
The abstract shows us that the drug discovery process has some challenges.
• The common one is finding the most suitable chemical compounds for future drugs in a time- and cost-effective way.
• The specific one is finding an inhibitor that can distinguish a molecular target from a similar one.
Quantori proposed a novel pipeline to define this DYRK1B-specific inhibitor in silico from a large set of candidates. The scientific team used molecular structure-based docking and ligand-based modeling. Quantori team designed the novel QSAR pipeline - an open-source multi-stage compound discovery algorithm.
This novel pipeline:
• Reduced the number of compounds to synthesize by 70%, which drastically saved the lab resources
• Addressed both potency and selectivity of the compounds for future drugs
• Helps solve the challenging DYRK1A/DYRK1B problem for chemotherapy against cancer
• Can shorten the lead optimization effort by more than 300%
• Is not limited by this specific case and could be applied to other drug screening efforts.

Public speaking is a common activity for Quantorians, who have a wealth of experience in creating successful presentations. Here are some tips to help you deliver engaging speeches:
• Optimize your layout
Layout is a crucial aspect of PowerPoint design and can be challenging to master. Start with a pre-designed template and customize it to suit your needs. For corporate use, design branded templates that are ready to use.
• Use keywords, not sentences
Your presentation should support your speech, not replace it. Avoid putting all your content on the slides, which can cause your audience to disengage. Use keywords to convey your message, and avoid complete sentences unless you're quoting someone.
• Follow the 6 x 6 rule
Limit yourself to six bullet points per slide, with no more than six words per bullet. Some experts even recommend using no more than six words per slide. This will help you keep your content concise and engaging.
• Keep it simple and on-brand
Use simple light and dark colors, and avoid bright text that can cause eye fatigue. Stick to the brand's color palette and avoid intense gradients. Overstyling can be distracting and take away from your message.
• Use images thoughtfully
The best presentation images are relatable, authentic, and inspirational. Think beyond literal representations and consider the symbols in the image and the story they tell. Use pictures sparingly to avoid cluttering your slides.
• Less is more
Simplicity is key to a successful presentation. Reduce the text on your slides, shorten your bullet points, and limit your color palette to three or four colors. Visualize your data to make it easier for your audience to understand.
By following these tips, you can deliver engaging and effective presentations that will captivate your audience. Don't forget to save this post and share it with your friends and colleagues.

Quantori Projects
Designing a Data Management Infrastructure to Grow a Pipeline and Support Scientific Research
One of our clients generates large data volumes during the research process — volumes which are expected to increase in the future. The business objective for Quantori was to design a robust and flexible solution to meet the client's future needs.
With rapid prototyping, the Quantori team evaluated and addressed project risks and validated hypotheses and assumptions, which helped define the Solution Architecture and was instrumental in selecting optimal technologies and integrating strategy with existing platforms.
The client was delivered a data lake solution based on AWS services, that addressed needs including portability, resiliency, integration, and security, and could handle both structured and unstructured data.
The pre-defined MVP scope of work and implementation roadmap reflected the client’s expectations and existing constraints.

We are proud to have many dedicated people, who perform well at work while maintaining a vibrant life outside of the office. Meet Alexandra, a Data Engineer at Quantori, who is not only skilled in coding, but also a tennis player, snowboarder, and surfer.
- Why do you like doing sports?
- For me, the main benefit of sports activities is that they develop the flexibility of the mentality and teach you to adapt to any situation. This helps me a lot at work.
- Do extreme sports influence your work?
- If I feel getting stuck on a task at work, I switch to a sports activity. I reboot my brain. This helps a lot in finding a solution by returning to the task later.
- Do you have your own a recipe for success?
- When performing actions smoothly, whether it's jibbing in snowboarding, feeling the glide on the water while carving, you get energy. To get this energy you must make efforts, strive for results, fall, and keep trying.
We hope this story inspires you to pursue your passions and find a work-life balance😊
