MIT researchers have used AI to discover a new class of antibiotics that can combat a drug-resistant bacterium, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which causes over 10,000 deaths annually in the US?
Why is it such an important breakthrough? Previous antibiotic discovery methods are expensive and take a long time to complete. By the time when all of the clinical trials are done, and the drug is ready to be on the market, it is almost useless because of the rapidly emerging antibiotic resistance. Therefore, AI opens up new incredible opportunities for us.
What did the scientist do? Using deep learning algorithms, scientists discovered a whole new class of antibiotics. These compounds are not only deathly to MRSA in cells and in mice but also gentle on our own human cells. Imagine a new generation of drugs with the potential to save thousands of lives annually!

Quantori was proud to participate in the "Impact the Future" event organized by Women Techmakers Georgia. This event, supported by industry leaders including Google, UN Women Georgia, TBC Bank, Terminal Co-Working space, and Quantori, brought together over 250 attendees and featured 34 dynamic speakers.
All the speakers were accomplished Georgian women in tech whose talks and journeys inspired attendees pursuing careers in technology. Among the speakers were our very own Nanuka Maghalashvili, QA Engineer, and Ketevan Dolakidze, PR Manager, representing Quantori.
At the panel discussion, Ketevan reiterated Quantori's steadfast commitment to women's empowerment and equal representation in the tech industry. Nanuka led an engaging workshop, sharing her transformative journey from medicine to QA.
