Did you know that
MIT researchers have used AI to discover a new class of antibiotics that can combat a drug-resistant bacterium, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), which causes over 10,000 deaths annually in the US?
Why is it such an important breakthrough? Previous antibiotic discovery methods are expensive and take a long time to complete. By the time when all of the clinical trials are done, and the drug is ready to be on the market, it is almost useless because of the rapidly emerging antibiotic resistance. Therefore, AI opens up new incredible opportunities for us.
What did the scientist do? Using deep learning algorithms, scientists discovered a whole new class of antibiotics. These compounds are not only deathly to MRSA in cells and in mice but also gentle on our own human cells. Imagine a new generation of drugs with the potential to save thousands of lives annually!
But that's not all – this AI-driven discovery isn't just about finding a needle in a haystack; it's about redesigning the entire haystack. The AI model provides invaluable insights by delving into the molecular structure, paving the way for even more potent and targeted antibiotics.
This breakthrough can be a new era where AI is a daily tool for everyone’s health improvement.

On April 7, we celebrated World Health Day, an initiative established by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948 to amplify awareness of global health issues.
This year's theme, 'My Health, My Right,' underscores the vital principle that access to essential health services should not be a privilege but a fundamental right for all.
We think it's important to prioritize our physical health as well as our mental and emotional well-being. Quantori's main goal is to help biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare companies accelerate discovery and improve patient outcomes.

April is not just another month on the calendar; it's Green Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about environmental sustainability and promoting actions that benefit our planet.
For tech companies, embracing Green Month is about acknowledging our role in shaping a sustainable future. The tech industry, while instrumental in driving innovation and progress, also has a significant environmental footprint due to energy consumption, electronic waste generation, and carbon emissions. Therefore, Green Month serves as a call to action for tech companies to minimize their ecological impact and contribute positively to the planet.
Here are some takeaways:
• Energy Efficiency: Optimize energy usage and promote remote work.
• Sustainable Procurement: Choose eco-friendly suppliers and refurbished electronics.
• Waste Reduction: Implement recycling programs and minimize single-use plastics.
• Carbon Offsetting: Calculate and reduce carbon footprint, invest in offset projects.
• Environmental Education: Educate employees and advocate for policies supporting sustainability.
As we celebrate Green Month this April, let us seize the opportunity to reflect on our environmental impact and commit to meaningful action. By prioritizing energy efficiency, sustainable procurement, waste reduction, carbon offsetting, and environmental education, tech companies can lead by example and pave the way towards a greener, more sustainable future. Together, let's harness the power of technology to drive positive change and build a world where innovation and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
