Luxury powerhouse Kering announced a large drop in sales. Last week LVMH also reported a drop. Kering is focusing on cutting costs and shutting down lesser performing stores, with Gucci at the lead. Sounds painful.

A better way to weather the storm is to actually increase sales volume by adding new loyal fans, and simultaneously drastically reduce costs of sales and marketing (hence, significantly increase profit margins).
Sounds impossible? A fantasy!?
